I initially struggled to outline what "sexually explicit manga" exactly means, but I ultimately went with "any manga where a sizeable portion of its content consists of considerably perverted or sexual acts, subjects, imagery, etc."

The content does not have to be titillating, meaning something like Berserk counts too, which obviously is not meant to arouse you (unless you have questionable fetishes).

Of course, this list will NOT include straight up hentai. Erotica or borderline hentai is okay, though I will mostly try to avoid them.

Do you know that guy who likes to ogle women? that guy who thinks about panty shots and boobs all the time? If you like that type, come here and read these, you're in for some sexy talk about girls.
Now, that doesn't mean that the manga is full ecchi, we're only talking about the protagonist and his insanity, how crazy is about the female body and wanting to cop a feel.

These mangas can range from emotional roller coasters to psychological thrillers with deep meanings reflecting back on society. Each of the different genres make me feel some type of way so if you're looking for something to read that is worth your time and not a boring manga then hopefully you randomly pick a manga from this compiled list and you have a great time!

Piece of fiction that is often seen disregarded by the major of the community. These works include various elements such as: tidy exposure, full-frontal nudity, extremely weird fetish, NTR, torture, gore, slaughter, etc. Characters are usually depicted as being mentally unhinged and would likely commit appalling atrocities on a whim.

The psychological genre is one that has boundless freedom in exploring it's themes, since the topic of human psyche, how it behaves and it's patterns are something far too personal and individual.

The works that usually are part of this genre or has elements of it in them are ones that drives their readers into contemplation - about themselves, of the presented world, as well as their own, and how shockingly similar or different they appear.

As well as that, this genre is usually focused on two general types of personalities - ones that are seeking their true self, their place in this world and the significance and worth of their existence. The other usual psychological profile is the already established one, presenting us an image that bit by bit, starts to crumble, their core values degrades and all they're left with is a husk of their former selves, devoid of emotion, empathy or will to exist.

Besides the psychological portraits, the reader can find a lot of abstract concepts and subtle symbolism, which enhances the experience. Often times the art can be radical, provocative and avant-garde, or nuanced and subdued, but in all of these works, it does strives to accomplish one thing - to provoke us to think outside the box, to present us worlds or people that are inherently broken, but which has their importance and meaning, and which are not afraid to challenge our currently established worldviews.
