Yet another masterpiece by Yazawa Ai! Even though it's one of her older works, it's still absolutely great. The art seemed to me a bit off at first, but once you get used to it, it doesn't bother you anymore. It's such a sweet and real story. Some people criticized the main character for "crying too much". I didn't mind that, personally, I guess it's a thing of personal taste. If you are a fellow artist, you will enjoy this story even more so. I could relate to it on such a level it was like reading about myself and my best friends. It's a story about growing up, letting go, pursuing your dreams, and just learning how to deal with all aspects of life... :) It has that sort of complexity that makes it real. Happiness, sadness, humor, it's an emotional roller coaster!
I highly recommend this manga, especially if you are a fan of Yazawa Ai. You will definitely enjoy it. read more

I began reading this with skepticism. Was it another cheesy shoujo manga? In the middle of the first chapter, I knew I was going to finish it. If you're a shoujo manga veteran looking for something new, though this manga has the elements to detract you from proceeding, the great thing is that it's almost refreshing. I like the balance the manga achieved.
The middle part leaves a bittersweet taste in your mouth. It's funny and you feel a sense of community with the characters. The manga has 8 volumes, so you definitely feel like you're inside their world.
Give it a read, it will make you smile. read more

For some reason, while I was reading Tenshi Nanka, I was reminded of Kodomo no Omocha. They're both funny and really intense at times. But both are wonderful reads! ^^
