The initial premise of the story is quite unique and interesting, but after a few chapters, it throws away *most* of the things that makes it stand out, and becomes a very formulaic.
I recommend this to fans of Otome Isekai, but do not expect something revolutionary.

It starts out quite unique. It has all the familiar hallmarks of an Otome Isekai, but it is not an isekai. It is simply a romance set in a european medieval fantasy setting.
The story follows an illegitimate child who escapes from her family to
...
a mountain cottage. Where she enjoys her newfound freedom while toiling (not unhappily though) to make the cottage liveable. This is a very fresh premise for an otome isekai. Most focus on court intrigue and the lifestyle of nobles.
And sadly. So does this.
It quickly abandons this setting and it turns into a very formulaic Otome Isekai (minus the isekai part) with the standard mansions, maids, buttlers, balls, and extravagant spending on jewelry and dresses. It does not do any of this poorly however. And uniquely the Male lead is dark skinned. Which is quite rare for this genre, but I can not say I was not disappointed that the manhwa abandonned parts of what made it unique.

The artstyle is a bit basic, but the use of rustic colours suits the story well. It is however a bit lacking in presentation when it comes to its characters.
