Skipping class on the rooftop one day, Shunpei's best friend Fumi tells him he thinks he might be gay. All set to freak out ("Then up 'til now he's been thinking that way about me?!") Shunpei's a bit nonplussed when Fumi's confession turns out...to have nothing to do with him at all! In fact, Fumi's already going out with someone else. Cue adolescent meltdown.

I had recently finished a very angst-ridden and melodramatic yaoi and I wanted to read something charming. I found this beauty in a midst of reviews and I'm really happy I did. The main character is a HUGE breath of fresh air. He's honest and funny and true. Very different from dramatic heroes. The premise is sweet and I honestly laughed out loud. Its quite short, not sexually graphic, and insanely adorable. If you're looking for something easy and fun, its definitely for you! And if you're not, still give it a try. It just might charm you.

Are you looking for a on-going series that has laugh-out-loud comedy, likable characters, school-themed drama and above all: hot art? Then look no further!

The plot seems simple enough: Fumi tells his best friend that he is gay. The best friend (aka Shunpei) doesn't handle it well and, in a very comical way, expresses his thoughts over the sudden news. Chapter one ends with Shunpei (the straight-as-an-arrow best friend) deciding that he likes Fumi and becomes jealous over the fact that Fumi is already dating someone else, aaaaaand so it begins!

Look, the story is nothing new and as typical as they come. So, in that read more

The story made me cry. Not of sadness but of the beauty of it.
Its a captivating story that makes you cry and laugh.

Its sweet and romantic. Sometimes you want to strangle the main characters and other times you want to comfort them, you share the emotion.

Even though I'm still busy reading the story I can say that it is a must read for all yaoi/romance fans. Its the perfect manga for any occasion, whether your in the mood for drama or comedy even for a hint of sadness; this manga caters for it all.

Its a bit long but its worth the while, the read more

Manga: Otona Keikenchi
Same author and same art style. Both main characters tends to reject the fact that he is feeling attached to someone of the same sex.

Manga: Plus 20cm no Kyori
I love both stories, they differ in that Mousou Elektel the couple is more obvious about how they love each other. But there's also conflict in who's the seme and uke. Also that the two have had a past relationship of friendship.

Manga: Junketsu Drop
- both are school life sweet yaoi whom characters are equal to each other
- both seme are unexpected

Manga: Mankai Darling
What's bl comedy without some power play?

It's definitely more fun to have manipulative main characters - 'bullying', coercing their love interest and knowing precisely which heartstrings to tug.

It's that bit of dynamic chemistry shared by the couples in both Mousou and Mankai Darling that adds a bonus to both manga reads.

Manga: Kawaii Akuma
Both has a comedic feel in it, has really good art and it makes you want to read more of it.

Manga: Recipe no Ouji-sama
The plots are different, but the art and juicy scenes are very similar! Also the comedy/silliness are at par.
Prince of Recipe is complete whilst Mousou Elektel is still ongoing.
