Both manga involve trap characters and remain unknown protagonist gender, gives similar feeling when reading this, though Prunus Girl more into school life and romance and Bara no Maria more into action and adventures.

Both have essentially a very similar præmise in that a male p.o.v. character is struck by the sight of an ostensibly cute female whom he later finds out to be in his class... and male. Both explore their growing friendship and the philosophical significance of what it still means to be "male" if one appear indistinguishable from a female.

While boku girl is a supernatural themed GB comedy, and prunus girl is transsexual, they are quite similar in the humor and setting. I'm not a big fan of episodic manga, so I rate boku girl higher, prunus girl gets quite repetitive.

Same as prunus girl "trap" dont hide thats hes a boy and this manga has same enjoyment as prunus girl but shorter

Otoko no Ko Tsuma addpermalink

Both mangas focus on homosexual relationships with crossdressing.
And both don't touch on very serious topics (especially Prunus Girl), which makes them very easy to read.

Both pretty great manga, about dealing with the "inner self" though Usotsuki Lily is much more heavy on the lgbt. I do prefer the latter, though.

They both have crossdressing leads. Prunus Girl was a little more laid back the whole time, but Reversible doesn't get super heavy either. 
I think the main similarity is how they handled the main characters though. Aikawa and Yaezaki had a similar balance of masculine and feminine traits.

if you've liked this series definitely check out prunus girl because:
1. in both, the 'female' or trap lead crossdress which makes the male leads feel really awkward about their relationship to the female leads.
2.both of them are set in school, coming of age and therefore have a lot of feel good moments
where characters learn about themselves and their identity and we also get all the good usual tropes of other high school anime
3. both have a lot of ecchi and epic fanservice cover art but there are definitely more spicy moments in prunus girl and it also has a bit more adult language and references in it. its not miles of difference though.
4. both series have a lot of small cute and funny moments which make the whole experience feel-good which ultimately means........
5.  .........theyre both really good manga, highly recommend checking both of them out. and yes, i count that as a similarity. thats why i put it as NO. 5. whatchu  gon do about it huh xD?

Though Prunus Girl tends to narrate more about sexuality issues and is far more light-hearted, both of these manga have lots of good shoujo-ai elements and delicate relationship.

Yankee-kun to Megane-chan addpermalink

Although Prunus Girl is a gender bender manga, what makes this so much similar to Yankee-kun to Megane-chan are the protagonists and the same kind of humor portrayed. Both male leads are often being dragged into weird and troublesome, yet hilarious situations by the female leads and in the case of Prunus girl, a cross-dresser. Both are really funny mangas, with very likable characters and plots that just leave you wanting more.

Both of these have gender-bending as a main plot point and the other main character getting distressed over this; however, while Maria Holic has more of a sadistic relationship, Prunus Girl is a little teasing for fun.
Both of these also have a homosexual undertone, Prunus Girl doesn't particularly announce it (save for one character) but both do seem to satirize these homosexual pairing, but Maria Holic does it to a greater extent.

Same story concept While Kaichi is sport themed both story focus around boys who look female and act female and both have an obvious attraction to men and want to be treated and viewed as a female, both deal with issues of acceptance and the loves they have, good story.
