Both are fantasies that have partnerships between two fighters, where one of them contributes the use of their body.

Both feature a motley crew of unlikely heroes who fight man-made monstrosities and insane yet charismatic villains. The main characters have shaded pasts and uneasy partnerships that are tested as the stories progress. Both have lovely, dark and detailed art.

Both have a slightly gothic aura, action, and references to Alice in Wonderland.

Both have a sort of toyland world, with an organization that fights evil. Replica is a little darker.

Same mangaka. Both main characters have a strained relationship that grows over time. Detailed art and obtuse plotlines.

Replica instantly reminded me of D.Gray-Man for so many reasons. Firstly, both series are about an organization composed mostly of young boys (Black Order/Cards) that fights against inhuman creatures which endanger the mankind (Akuma/Toy). Both have as the main villain an evil inventor/earl who is responsible of the attacks put into action by the above said creatures. Also, these manga share the same mood, aesthetics, and quirky, clown-like style, with dark/gothic elements, unusual weapons, extravagant setting, strange objects, etc.
