Saint Seiya is an old school Shounen Jump manga that received a recent comeback in direct sequels, prequels and spin-offs. Saint Seiya is a well known classic, and one of the first anime/manga that anime lovers watch/read from their childhood..
Saint Seiya next dimension takes place mostly in the 18th century, the previous holy war between Athena and Hades, mixed up with the 20th century after Athena and her saints defeating Hades. But if u expect to see the same characters from lost canvas,, then your wrong. Kurumada is the one in charge of everything here, so the characters including the gold saints are different from Lost canvas. there are a lot of betrayals among the saints, which we did not see so often in the ...

Ok, this is just ridiculius
Maybe if this was released in 1998 or something like that, maaaaaybe it would be likefull But...just ridiculous, the same cliches characters types of classic Saint Seiya, but in 2017, in other words, just...just don't work The art is ridiculous as fuck, 20 years working with mangas and is the same fucking art of Saint Seiya classic, really Kurumada? Ikki defeated golds saints, gods and then all of his experience just go to nothing and he is pratically defeated by a Gold Saint, just...ridiculous. Next Dimension, started in april 2006, is the sequel and also the official prequel to Saint Seiya, as it was designed by Masami Kurumada himself, the original author.
The story takes place immediately after Hades, retoning Seiya's death (which occurred at the end of the classic manga), changing it to a momentary "coma". Saori Kido and the other protagonists, to save his life, will travel into the past (thanks to Chronos, the primordial of time, not the king of the titans of Ep G), at the time of the previous holy war (240 years before), to destroy Hades's sword. After years I never thought that this manga would end until now with 110 chapters of the manga (I hope the person in charge of this page will update it.
