Same author, obviously. But aside from that, Blood Blockade Battlefront carries all of the frenetic action that you loved in Trigun Maximum, but pushes beyond the bounds you thought impregnable in terms of visual absurdity. Every page is Nightow having a field day with really fun and abstract settings, characters, and demon designs It's also got the good ol' Trigun sense of humor going for it. The Dark Horse releases are also far more legible than their translations of TriMax. You should get them!

Kekkai Sensen and Bungou Stray Dogs adapts a story with supernatural elements in a urban setting. The main male character gets involved with others with powerful abilities and tackle on various cases. There's a good degree amount of mystery especially surrounding the origins of both series' setting, character backgrounds, and powers. Relationship building also becomes evident when we see how they develop over time. Recommended for fans that are interested in some classic supernatural fiction.

Both are made by the same author Nightow. Both of them have uniquely zany characters and humor with a sci-fi setting. Both of the main characters Vash and Leo are kind-hearted although I'd probably compare Klaus as the Vash "equivalent" since he's the strong unwavering character like Vash. Although there isn't much of a solid plot yet in Kekkai Sensen, if you are a fan of Nightow his way of story telling alone should be enough to make one enjoy this series.

The two possess similar analogous setting where its normal, for example, in dorohedoro, the setting is a dark, gritty disorderly district where killing is an ordinary occurrence! In kekkai sensen, its more chaotic because you see explosion, accidents and all weird creatures! The characters in both series have unique personalities and shares the strong chemistry to the group. I definitely recommend dorohedoro if you like kekkai sensen

this is a mix of kekkai sensen (blood battle blockade), blue exorcist, and jjk in my opinion. the obvious point is they fight with blood in both series, but tougen anki fleshes it out far more into a shounen-like plotline, aka the 'chosen one but they didn't find out until their parental figure was on the verge of death or died' like ... jjk, blue exorcist, and quite literally most shounens. i enjoy the fantasy element, it doesn't have an intricate power system, it's easy to understand and remember. and the characters are good looking so that's a plus as well

Kekkai Sensen and Keyman has a similar vibe in terms of their settings - dark urban and culture. Both series also unites humans and non-humans in a society with strange phenomenons. The main characters also gets involved in supernatural events that changes their lives forever. Anyone who is interested in a series that blurs the line between fiction and reality should give these two titles a try. It also contains thrilling mysteries and storytelling with creativity.

Taking place in a modern life setting, both series involves supernatural phenomenons and mysterious individuals with unique abilities. There is also a special group of characters in both series that tries to keep peace in their city as they battle conflicts and corruption. Both series' main protagonists are also known for putting others before them with their selfless nature. There is a lot of abnormal events as the story progresses and various unorthodox themes that will give the readers a lot to write home about.

Did you like the tripe that was DMWL? Damn will you love this series then!! Violence! Blood! Action! Humor! ACTION!! Fun characters that aren't annoying or whiney! All from the hands of the author who brought us Trigun! You can only find this translated on bookshelves though.

Baccano! and Kekkai Sensen has a similar style with the way their story operates. In particular, some of the main characters possesses supernatural abilities that sets them apart from normal humans. There's also an urban like feeling with noir-style chemistry in terms of their setting. Character relationships also plays an important factor to develop certain parts of the story in both series. Among other things, both series also follows a cleverly crafted story about people interconnected by events that brings strange happenings together.

When it comes to adapting supernatural fiction, both series operate with a lot of creative gimmicks. For instance, main male protagonist from both series has an condition with their eyes. Then, there are also many other characters that gets involved in the story with their own skills and abilities. Taking place in a more urban-like setting, expect crime, social issues, and underworld conflicts in their story as well.
