Jahy is like a slightly more mature version of Ika and, even though the circumstances are different, both are forced to work in a restaurant in order to survive in the human world. They also both start with a rather negative view of humans which softens greatly as they interact more with the people around them. Ryou and Eiko are very similar characters as well. 

Curious cute little girl doing cute stuff in the strangest way possible is the premise of these comedy manga both catering to the male demographic (whether Yotsuba is seinen or shounen is still arguable so let's generalize that). Art in both are greatly similar to one another - simple yet appealing. 

Shinrakyu Ika Musume (Squid Girl) and Shinkaigyo no Anko-san both has a main female protagonist with attributes of sea creature. Their personalities contrasts with one another but often catches the attention of others because of their appearances. While lacking a complex story, they make it up with their humorous comedy and experience gags that depicts their lives on Earth. Recommended for fans of supernatural + slice of life fiction presented in a lighthearted format. 

In both series, we have a female character with a peculiar personality. They express a variety of personalities each chapter depending on who they interact with others. There is a lot of comedy gimmicks in both series as well that ranges from cultural references, otaku, or life. 

Strange little girl with prehensile hair joins a small family and helps them out with house work all the while learning about the world they're entirely new to. Both also happen to have a stalker for a crush, loveable lunatics that try (and fail repeatedly) to best the MC with absurd methods and a sensible person to keep their actions in line when not busy with school. 

the biggest similarity between the two manga lies in the main character, both manga have a cute little girl with special powers as a main character. Ika musume wants to invade the world and Silva is part of an organisation that wants to take over the world. in addition ika musume loves shrimp and Silva loves pudding both manga have a lot of comedy.  

With a slice of life mood, both series adapts a story with a lighthearted atmosphere with a cast of peculiar characters. It's noticeable that both series has supernatural themes with a lot of parody and gags. Centaur no Nayami occasionally adapts more of a serious tone with emotional appeal while Shinryaku has more comedy. 

There's this elegant charm that I find for both Barakamon and Shinrakyu Ika Musume (Squid Girl). Both series adapts slice of life with good amounts of comedy. Their cast of characters has a wide range of personalities to craft fun and entertainment with their roles. And among other things, both series builds on the foundation of a variety of themes - some for fun, some with values, and other for relationship building. While neither series has any significant story plots, both series finds its way with the sheer laughter they can bring. 

Gut-busting slapstick comedy involving a female character who is actually a denizen of the sea. Seto no Hanayome focuses on the hilarious antics that ensue surrounding the romantic relationship between a teenage boy and a teenage mermaid, mainly the mermaid's gangster family. Shinryaku! Ika Musume is an endless summer gag series about a humanoid squid known as Squid Girl, who wants to invade the surface and punish humans for polluting the sea but is hilariously naive about the human world and easily influenced by those around her and her own rampant curiosity. She quickly gets suckered into working at a beachfront restaurant in order to pay back the damages for a hole she accidentally broke in their wall. read more 

Cute monster girl infiltrating the human world in order to conquer (Ika wants to conquer humanity, Mizore wants to conquer the sun) and failing miserably, ultimately relying on the people around her in order to live a somewhat normal life. 

Classic slice of life series, Working and Shinryaku! Ika Musume (Squid Girl) tells the lives of the main characters. The comedy of both series are refreshing with memorable dialogues, events, and character interactions. Squid Girl has more supernatural gags while Working!! has more professional ethnics/references. However, both series shines with their purpose and that's delivering slice of life at their best.  

Cute little water-creature girls with tentacle-like hair. Similar comedy and art styles as well. 

Despite lacking any complex story, both series has a rythym to follow its characters' everyday life styles. Additionally, elements of supernatural themes exist for both series. The main female character in particular has a peculiar personality whom often gets into strange confrontations with others. Despite the peculiarity, the comedy of both series are genuine with an honest premise.
