This isn't some kind of bad writing and borderline hentai, this is very much self-conscious, most well written (PLOT) and eventually most liked character manga I read on recent weeks.
To say at least experiencing it without Spoilers, one guy in a full-girl school fill with bad girls and delinquent, and loves to tease and bully guy like Saotome.

I am truly impressed.
Yes, this is not a Masterwork by any means - but this is an Ecchi with an actual story and the Ecchi scenes make sense in context. The premise sounds stupid (1 guy at an all girls school) - but it's kinda legit. They opened the school for males only recently, he's a first year and he's in the fashion class - something boys usually don't care about. This manga is quite fun, really fun. But a guilty pleasure. If you're coming in reading this and expect some deep subversion of the harem genre, no. You will only be disappointed. This manga is a turn your brain off and occasionally it gets super interesting with it's characters. Now, with that in mind, my rating makes sense.
Spoilers Ahead The story is fairly standard, Saotome enrolls in a recently Co-Ed school and is the only guy there. You'd expect either Hentai Protag, Giga-Chad, or socially awkward twink. The first 10 or so chapters gave me the impression that the story wouldn't be some cookie-cutter harem fighting over the affection of a single guy. Boy was I wrong. I was also remorseful to find out that the MC would turn out to be a dense loser who has absolutely zero self-confidence. For example, a girl says she likes him and is going to be serious about him. Was that a confession? Nah, to him that was just her teasing. Another girl says she literally wants to have kids with him and isn't joking, and at no point ever does she take it ...

If you like Harem go for it.
There's nothing else besides that going on for this manga, To Love Ru had some over the top alien tech, HDXD had the demons power and stuff Kimi no koto has a total subversion of Harem with satire and stuff. This one has a lot of girls who likes a average boring guy. There's also no male characters besides him, girls will show their boobs and underwear. Thats it. Do you like delinquent girls? How about Gyarus? Or maybe you like self-aware, respectful MC's? Look no further. If you like these character tropes, look no further because theres 359 of them, and each one is a different type of Gyaru, and the MC isnt a total pos. Lemme explain why:

STORY: very slow to no progression, Most of you might not like this.
A lot of the regular old harem clichés. The mc somehow falls on the girls boobs all the time . ART: Art is pretty average, nothing great. CHARACTERS : The mc is somehow denser than lead , The female characters are also nothing special and most of them act like sl*ts ...

I have no idea what manga these other reviewers were reading, but it doesn't seem to be the same thing I was. Perhaps they just haven't read/seen that many harem manga/anime. This manga is about as middle of the road and extraordinary as harems get.
The story is just a mishmash of trite and/or overused tropes (one boy in an all girl school, JK Gyaru's teasing an average boy, JK Gyaru's actually being nicer than they appear, etc) with probably the sole exception being a small focus on fashion (although it is extremely shallow and more anecdotal than anything.) Pretty good for binging, disappointing to wait for chapters
When I first got into this manga, I read all 80 chapters that were available at the time within a couple days. The characters are great, it's not too forward with it's sexual themes and the art is really amazing, I was thrown into this world and instantly after finishing I was. hyped for the upcoming chapter. I couldn't wait to be immersed in this world with the characters once again... Then the next chapter arrived. It was fine. Then the next was ok too. Then I started to realize something. By going one chapter at a time ...

After reading up to the weekly releases i'm honestly surprised.
Among that many ecchi romcoms, Kuzuhana-chan really stands out.Behind that mountain of pantyshots and the many boobs we have some substance. Not that is a drama show that will change your life, but you'll enjoy the adventures of Saotome trying to survive in an hostile environment. The art is really good, backgrounds are eh but the girls are something else, the author really put on effort to make sure the hot looks hot. As many have said before, even though it sounds like a joke: I am also reading it for the story. Mostly because of the character dynamics. Even with some minor hiccups in the story's pacing here and there - it is still very enjoyable. For an Ecchi, Harem, RomCom manga, this is a very well done piece!
My only negative point would be the over the top fanservice (there is just soooo much in there), but it just fits for this particular story. I will continue reading this. But if you don't really like Ecchi (why are you even here?) then this wouldn't be enjoyable for ... |
