Story: 9
If you have watched a movie called “The Vow”, it has a similar vibe to it; moreover, in the current state, vines of mysteries and suspense is going to crawl over your brain as the story progresses.

Since this manga is relatively new, I will give it a ...

As someone who lived in Hong Kong, Kowloon Generic Romance was a love letter to me. One side of the story is a wholesome slice-of-life romance between two office workers in the bustling district of Kowloon, showing their fun daily life in a district that is known for being old and worn-down. The beautiful artstyle of this manga mimics that of manga from older generations, complementing the setting of the manga and giving a sense of nostalgia. The detailed references, from the local food and overhanging street signs to the hidden back alleys and the old buildings, really hits home and makes the story so ...

Kowloon Generic Romance is an interesting manga. It can be slow, unpredictable, and often puts its own spin on themes and ideas typically not found in manga. The characters are fairly standard; however, they all have a certain amount of mystery surrounding them that goes along with a slowly unveiling plot. To no one’s surprise I’m sure, this is anything but a generic romance.

The setting of Kowloon is definitely one of this manga’s strongest points. It’s clearly designed to give off a nostalgic feeling, and the idea of nostalgia is something this manga has really held onto over the course of over 40 chapters. Like ...

I absolutely love the vibe of the manga, the art style is amazing and the storyline is, in my opinion, confusing but as the chapter goes on you get more clues on how the story will go. This manga is making me sad for some reason since mayuzaki jun portrays emotion of the characters in a detailed way that you can actually feel it. It's good but since it's still starting I'll give it an 8/10 IF the story goes downhill in the future. This is my first time reading a work by Mayuzaki Jun and I am most probably gonna read Koi wa Amaagari ...

Today’s review is on Kowloon Generic Romance, penned and illustrated by Mayuzuki Jun, renowned for her After the Rain romance manga. The object of the review is also a romance, albeit an unusual given how few animanga are set in Hong Kong.

More precisely, its setting is based on Hong Kong’s Kowloon Walled City, a fort turned into a densely populated Chinese enclave after the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory was signed between Qing China and Great Britain on 1898, leasing the New Territories of Hong Kong to the latter. From the 1950s to the 1970s, it was controlled by local triads ...

Kowloon Generic Romance is an alternate history science fiction romance set at sometime in the future. This reimagined world of Kowloon Walled City is a fascinating setting for an adult romance. Those who have read the Japanese volumes may be able to give a more comprehensive opinion. But based on the first English volume, Kowloon Generic Romance will set a new standard for what we should expect from adult romance manga.

Who will enjoy Kowloon Generic Romance? Older fans or anyone who wants to read about adults in love. Fans of science fiction, especially alternate histories. Fans of good art work as well as ...

Kowloon generic romance is a manga with a very 1990’s vibe but contemporary art style (which will make you nostalgic if you’ve grown up with that sort of art). I initially thought this was a normal office based romance set in Kowloon (in Hongkong) but man I was so wrong.
Since it is still publishing, I don’t know where the story is going too but so far it is keeping me piqued with curiosity. I love how it’s displaying the elements of a dystopian utopia so beautifully, be it the art or the story. (It also reminded a bit of summertime render due to the ...

The vibe is absolutely immaculate , if your a fan of 80’s ,the contrast of old town , chinese culture and high tec , futurist and sci-fi combined to that sexy protagonist drawned like a city hunter character make me want to listen to miki matsubara , however i tend to say that the atmosphere fall off after 15-20 chapters , the story seems highly interesting , and fresh but it’s so slow and repetitive , i don’t remember the number of useless panel and wasting time by watching the same things again and again and that’s for sure a big malus for that ...

My god man, my head is all over the place after dropping this manga at the 52nd chapter. I actually was interested in it at first because of the characters and the art (didn’t know Kowloon was once upon a time a city in real life). It was super confusing like it was going back and forth an awful lot that you hardly keep up what the goals for each character were. I wish they just made the both BL couple and main leads just be all main leads tbh. In fact I wouldn’t have minded a bisexual 4some story in this and it MAYBE ...

So i just read this full recently, until latest translated chapter. And having it read before, this is the equivalent to The series called Lost.

In Lost, each episode you are bombared with new information and new lore. But what kowloon does not get a grip at is that they never reveal the lore, presumably in the last chapters of this manga everything will be explained.

Following is my opinion. Why tf is there gay seggs between a psychopathic male doctor and a most likely a modefied male human. And all of a sudden this now about the 2 of them solving this "CONSPIRACY OOGGAAA ...
