Okay so i'm writting my first review and since i'm not a native english speaker don't judge please.

It's the first ecchi that i'm reading and it was really cool, the story is good, if you don't mind the ecchi and if you like cosplay it could be interesting for you to read it.
The art is absolutely amazing, it's cute and there is a lot of colors (the mangaka did a really good job with the colors honestly).
The characters are very attatchig and sometimes relatable, the relationships between them are very well written too.

What is exactly 2.5 jigen no ririsa (the synopsis is quite light). You have MC (big otaku fan of waifu : liliel). A girl will join his useless manga "research" club and this girl is almost like liliel + this girl is also fan of liliel and manga. She loves to cosplay especially liliel's cosplay. You will have during the 25 chapters that I have read a mix between chapters focused on the girl(s) trying cosplays and some more serious chapters where main characters will do real cosplay contest etc... because the girl wants to become pro in cosplay.

This manga ... is quite more serious than the synopsis says. You will have the MC (he will be the photgrapher and will learn how to take good pictures) and the main girl who will cosplay. Both obviously want to step up in the cosplay game.

This is obviously a rom/com and will have the cliche childhood friend (the most known girl of the highschool who is also an idol) who will also join the club because she's in love with MC for no particular good reason (it's a cliche I said it). The main girl seems to notice quickly that she's in love with MC after they both played and worked hard together. The MC is quite tense, when he seems to fall in love with the main girl, he persuades himself that it's just because she is like liliel and that he only likes liliel but it seems to improve thgroughout the story especially when both MCs do something serious like a cosplay contest.

I cant say it now but the manga seems to have a progression in the romace plot (it doesnt seem to be the cliche shounen where both MCs are tense and wont ever admit that they're in love with each other even in 500 chapters).

When the story is not serious, you will have chapters focused on cute cosplay moments with gorgeous drawings for the girls. Girls will take some daring positions to be photographed (they're not particularly slut just quite naive it seems, do not forget it's a shounen half made for the fanservice with the girls)

The story is not a jewel but it has potential and it's readable.

Characters are not bad at all and i believe that both MC have great potential especially with the romance plot if the author does not fall in the trap to strech everything during 100 chapters or more without anything happening. MC is quite cliche but he will do everything to help the girl accomplish her dream; understand by this that MC is not a cuck that helps a girl by freewill, he's very important too even if he's not as public as the cosplayer. It's a team and the girl cant do anything without him in particular. Girl is surprisingly refreshing without being a hit. She's enjoyable and very hard working. She's also kind and a little bit shy. I really appreciate her. The childhood friend is only there to make more fanservice during school club's time.

I think if you are interested in romance or cosplay, you need to give it a try.

At a glance one might be forgiven for assuming that 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is a clone of the much more well known My Dress-Up Darling: both are ecchi rom-coms that use the world of cosplay as their setting, and the former started publishing about a year after the latter. But whatever the authors initial motivation for writing 2.5D might have been, the reality is that it tells a very different story, and has grown into something that far surpasses its rival.

Both mangas leaned heavily into their ecchi fan service early on to build a following, and then shifted focus more towards the cosplay side of ... things as the story progressed. But while Dress-Up Darling has seemingly abandoned all pretences of being a rom-com, and thus become an incredibly dull read as a result, 2.5D has never forgotten what it originally sold itself as. That's more than just remembering to keep up a supply of drawings of cute girls wearing cosplay outfits; it's maintaining a focus on character interactions and motivations, romantic development, and comedy.

If anything, 2.5D has got better as it has gone along. The art has been great from day one, but some of the drawings in more recent chapters have been truly stunning. As they've become more confident in both the manga itself and the readers familiarity with the characters, the author has really started to have fun with the format, introducing some great little recurring gags, 3rd (and possibly 4th?!) wall breaking, references to other media, and using different art styles to highlight the 2D vs 2.5D vs 3D themes of the story. A steady stream of new characters have been added, each of whom gets enough time for us to get a good feel for who that are and their motivations for wanting to cosplay.

That exploration of why the different characters want to cosplay is what really makes this manga shine. This isn't just a superficial vehicle for delivering fan service, it's a solid exploration of a subculture that I assume the author has a lot of love for, and those varying motives for cosplaying give us a cast of well rounded and interesting characters. So much so that they're all best-girl contenders, there really is no clear choice for who the male lead should end up with in the end.

The male lead is an interesting character in his own right too, who shows real growth as the story progresses. He's not just some self-insert blob devoid of personality, nor a Mary-Sue, nor an infuriating Kazuma type. Yes, the setup itself is about as unlikely as you'll find in any harem-esque manga, but at the same time it never feels out of place that all these pretty girls are hanging out with this diehard otaku, primarily because we've seen him do enough to earn the affections of each of them.

If you're not averse to some fan service then 2.5D Seduction is well worth reading. It delivers on all its promises, providing a read that is fun when it needs to be fun and meaningful when it needs to be meaningful. Hopefully the anime adaptation coming later this year will bring it the audience it deserves, and will pull it out of Dress-Up Darling's shadow.

[Story] 10/10

2.5 Jigen no Yuuwaku -Ririsa- starts out as a fairly typical ecchi, about a protagonist duo who are both otaku and share a fondness for the same anime/manga character, Lilliel.
The first few chapters can be quite decisive when it comes to wondering whether to continue reading or not, as fanservice (obviously) abounds in this series, but if it doesn't bother you at all, you'll enjoy it a lot. The story is simple and easy to follow, the ecchi and comedy elements make it quite funny on its own and that's something I always liked and I think throughout it continues to work very well. ... As the chapters progress the plot continues to develop and that's when it truly gets interesting.... Something I love is the point of view and how the author reflects and makes representation of the importance of cosplay throughout the story. How he uses the basis of it to tell us how the characters' background, development and aspirations are based on this hobby.

I really like how each character has their moment, each character has a story to tell and how they manage on several occasions to overcome their fears and complexes.

Wow, I simply can't hate any character in this series, I love them all, for different reasons. We have the typical personalities or the typical stereotypes of manga characters, especially female ones and I don't think it's particularly bad, the personalities or stereotypes they represent are well constructed and it doesn't really feel like any character is over or that any one is really less or more important than the other, the main cast fascinates me and continues to grow, Which I like a lot more!
There are characters that throughout the story I was able to connect with emotionally, see the case of Yoki-san, Nonoa-san and Marina-san! I personally like them a lot, but I really like them all!!!! (I think it was already too clear) Haha. Characters such as Mayura or Magino are key in the story because of what they have represented for Lilysa throughout the story and how they have helped her at various times, to grow as a person and move forward. As the plot progresses, so do the characters as a whole and you can really feel a connection between them, a mutual feeling of a true friendship, which makes them quite human.

[Art] 9/10

The art is fantastic, in important moments it is really quite remarkable and praiseworthy. It has very memorable panels and the author's drawing improves as time goes by, obviously, we are talking about an ecchi manga and the racy scenes are really very well worked, which is also very appreciated. As I mentioned before, in the important moments, the author manages to convey a lot visually and stands out a lot, but overall the drawing is pretty good!

[Enjoyment]

This is probably one of the best manga I've read in a long time and I'd say it has become one of my current favorites. With each passing page I fall more and more in love with the characters, their ambitions and in general everything this series encompasses makes me quite happy at the end of the day. It has taught me to value true friendships and to value my hobbies, to value my personality and who I really am!
It starts out as a fairly typical series in its genre, but then manages to forge an identity of its own that makes it unique and a must read if you're interested in either cosplay or ecchi, with touches of romance. I eagerly await the anime adaptation and the new chapters to come!

For some time now I have been reading 2.5D and believe me, it is good.
For the 70 chapters I´ve read the story progress in our beloved rom/com way, I mean yes the mc can be dense(but he has motives, that show up later on), yes we have a childhood friend that is somewhat in love with the mc (and for people who say its only a cliche and she dont have motives, just READ the manga man)
Our story is focused pretty much in the cosplay world and itself has a whole bunch of information that is based on reality, its a cool manga that carries ...

It's nothing more, nothing less. Everything about it is exactly what you would expect. It doesn't bother doing anything out of the norm and all the girls are made for mass appeal. The main character is not an actual character, he is just a device to set up the next erotic premise. He does exactly what is expected of him as nothing more than an audience self insert.

There is some very, very, VERY shallow and one dimensional commentary on otaku/cosplay culture that does not have any actual impact on anything in the long run and is instead just there so that the usual "uwu ...
