Manga adaptations of threads started on 2chan where zero-experience-with-females males, whose natural habitat is a room with an internet connection, find themselves in an unlikely situation: in contact with an attractive female (or 3/4, in Chikan!) that's out of their league. Their response to these turn of events is to post SOS messages on the internet. (More than once, Train Man gets referenced in Molester Man.) Both Densha Otoko and Ore Monogatari start off with the main protagonist rescuing a woman on a train, but while Takeo is a huge man, "Densha" is a nerdy otaku. However despite their dissimilar backgrounds, both guys are really "pure" in their intentions and bashful when it comes to dealing with the opposite sex and both seek out the advice of friends on how to manage and improve their relationship - the twist being that in "Densha Otoko", the man "Densha" recieves his advice from a popular 2chan message board (the story is actually based off a number of threads that really appeared on 2chan).  read more

Romance stories that involve a lot of use of the internet is the similar theme here, and email romance and both have a lot of comedy. If you haven't read Densa Otoko yet, go do it - it's a classic romance and a lot of fun! In Mel Kano the guy has online girl friends but acts different in person than online where he can express himself well but when he is in person he doesn't know how to act to girls - whereas in Train Man he looks at the girl but doesn't know how  read more

Both stories are about men who haven't had girlfriends in their whole lives and how they manage to change when they meet someone they like. The art is a bit similar as well.

If you're one of those guys who never got a break then I recommend I"s and train_man...These are love stories about guys who you typically wouldn't expect to get a break. Their stories are very inspirational and uplifting, not to mention frickin' hysterical.
