Both are coming-of-age stories where a protagonist with a special skill is scouted to play in a prestigious sports academy team. In their quest to become part of their new team and succeed they are brought to face harsh truths about themselves and must learn to perceive their own sport in new ways.

Both are baseball manga where an inexperienced but talented player joins a big team. So if you are looking for similar stories then here you go. Both are well written.

Despite following a different sport, Diamond no Ace and Baby Steps follows a main character who strives to improve and become a worthy player in the sports world. They are also portrayed as hardworking individuals whose results show the fruits for their efforts. Throughout both series, they face powerful rivals that tests the limits of their abilities. They also build relationships with other players that brings the best of their character to life. Highly recommended for fans interested in a manga that focuses on sports and character growth.

If you like Haikyuu, you will also enjoy Acre of Diamond. The character relationships and love of the sport are very similar, and the intensity is no different between each series.

Both main character are very similar. One who like one of these two manga should like the other one as I feel they are very similar in term of sports development : Both main character are wild and are learning the game. One difference to note is the different sport the manga focus on. Still worth a try.

The main character is a pitcher. However without having breaking ball like sawamura, tokuchi cover it out with his insane mind. Recommended if you enjoyed the tension and the team work

The main character is a pitcher in two manga. Even if there personality are completely different, there are both funny in some ways. Plus, Mihashi and Eijun have both something special about their pitches. The two manga really make you want to start playing baseball. I swear!

Both mangas are about baseball. However in Last Inning the protagonist isn't a male baseball player but a young coach that had a history as an amazing catcher in his high school life. But because of certain circumstances his hatred towards baseball grows and he becomes a salaryman instead of a pro baseball player. Now he is asked by his high school coach to become the coach of an almost ruined baseball team that'll be disband in a year if they don't make it into Koshien

Both series have baseball in it and are one of my personal favourites. I think both series exceed at writing characters and their relationships. However, while Diamond no Ace has their characters focus on entirely on baseball, Yugami series the characters have other goals and interests in life as well. Both are great series in their own special way.

Basically Luffy and Sawamura are wayyy too similar. Both titles focus on a baselessly confident mc trying to accomplish something that everyone else finds impossible. They share a large focus on camaraderie between characters.

Both mangas are about a boy who plays Baseball. Major is better :P

Both manga are sport related but are not the same sport (baseball and golf). Both main character has a big smile on their face when facing stronger opponents & are simple minded.
