Both heroines are loners who are very perceptive and who are not afraid to speak their minds; despite their bluntness, both eventually get appreciated and befriended. Warau Kanokosama is more like a series of short s stories, however, with the same main character.

Both heroines make a practice of secretly observing other people and pride themselves on their ability to remain detached in those observations. However watashi ni xx shinasai has a plot that focuses more on love while Warau Kanokosama is like a series of short stories all with the same heroine.

The heroines in both series have a habit of secretly observing others. They're both very good in analyzing people's real personalities and motivations behind their facades. However, while Warau Kanoko-sama is more of an episodic manga set in a typical high school setting, Cheese in the Trap has a very realistic portrayal of college life and has more plot in store.

i thought the female leads reminded of each other extremely interesting and enjoyable to read.

In Warou Kanoko-sama, the protagonist is a loner and prefers to be a loner. She has a twisted personality, also she is very smart and and solve mysteries and such. Her life as a loner changed after transferring to her 99th school and she became friends with the 'populars.'
reportRecommended by Ririchiyo_Soushi
Both protagonists like to watch from the sidelines referring to themselves as the side characters while others take the spot light, though they in fact hold their own valuable and unquie characteristics and abilities.

Both characters are very good at being antisocial. Keima is the god of capturing 2D girls, and Warau Kanoko-sama is the master of observing others. They are very intelligent and accomplish multiple tasks in very different situations. Even though they are in basically completely opposite genres, each character cannot help but remind you of the other.

The main person was all by herself before to meet a group of friends. They change theirs life and herself as well by this meeting. Both speak about the true hiding personality than all people have, had, will have.

Both manga(s) have the main character (the heroine) to be quiet, and a bit observant.

Both are strong-minded and independent heroines who aren't afraid to speak their minds. Both don't focus their attention on getting boyfriends but concentrate on goals and hobbies/careers instead.
