I write this review years after I finished the manga. So don't really count my review as accurate or in-depth. This is just a very quick review.

When I found this in my local bookstore, I decide to buy it due to the synopsis. A story about executioner(s) hunting down mafia seems interesting. Usually, manga about mafia focus on the mafia side. But here, we are focusing on the other side, which is "law enforcement/executioner" side. In here, they will try to take down the dirty mafia from continue corrupting their cities/town.

After I finished the whole series, I was thinking, "Why the hell don't they make ... this an anime adaptation?" It's still valid in my mind even to this day. The story is so great, the characters are great, and the action is amazing. I was quite surprised there is no Anime for it considering how great this is.

If you find this manga, please read it. It won't disappoint you.

Red Raven follows the story of Andy, a member of the government-controlled organisation Red Raven.
Let's just get on with my (biased) review because this manga deserves one.
Story:
I believe that this story has managed to do something great. It combines the classic "justice must be served" narrative with really great depth. Right at the beginning of the first chapter, the reader is thrown into an evolving conflict that eventually results in the introduction of the main character Andy. Not only that but also the establishment of information about Red Raven, the mafia and the underlying and constant predicament in this whole story, Sccaggs. As ... the manga progresses the reader is introduced to more characters, conflicts and uncovered secrets.
Art:
I'm a simple person. I don't need over the top art in a manga. As long as it serves its purpose then it's fine. I understand how some readers might have an issue with this so let me just say this: Red Raven's art is simple but complex in its own way... but that is the exact reason why it's so easy to read. We've all read that one manga that is so all over the place you can't keep up with the story or text. Red Raven is not that story. It has a clean art style with very simple backgrounds but detailed foregrounds. It is honestly up to the reader to decide what they think of this manga's art.
Character:
Who doesn't love a good character backstory cliche?? And especially if it's being told through the story of Red Raven. Andy has a pretty generic but still really great backstory and a plethora of characters introduced also get their fair share of development. What I really like about Red Raven is not only developing characters on the so-called "good side" but also the antagonists of the story. It adds so much more depth and reasoning towards their actions and it really makes me respect them at times too.
Enjoyment:
This manga for me was a constant page-turner. I binge-read all the chapters that were available at that time and honestly, is just another great manga about adventure and action.
Overall:
I don't know why you're still reading this because you should be reading Red Raven instead. Honestly, if you just need a pretty easy read with suspense, action, great characters, dilemma and some cliche then go for it!
In conclusion, I really want to see this be adapted into something, although I know that the chances are low.
