In Clannad,

Apparently, another universe also existed in Little Busters, and yes, there are many other anime that includes this (which aren't at the tip of my tongue)...

From Wikipedia:
The many-worlds interpretation implies that all possible alternative histories and futures are real, each representing an actual "world" (or "universe"). In lay terms, the hypothesis states there is a very large–perhaps infinite[2]–number of universes, and everything that could possibly have happened in our past, but did not, has occurred in the past of some other universe or universes.

It has also been said that at the edge of our universe, there is a parallel universe in which all our actions have been recorded.

Coincidentally, this was also the a major concept in the newest episode of Rick and Morty (American cartoon)...

So what do you think about the existence of alternate universes? Would you go to another universe (essentially changing one of your decisions in life) if you could?

I would be typing for hours if I discuss my opinions.

There are differences between multiverse and multi-timelines. Multiverses are universes with different sets made by different decisions on big facts. Multi-timelines are the existence of similar worlds that was lead by different decisions with minor differences.

But what exactly am I talking about ? Let's start with timelines. If we had to decide something between three choices, what do you think? Many will say 33.3%. But is that right ? I think not. I believe everything is 100%, which each decision lead to a different world.

I'm a theist and belive in God's existence, and that's why my conception of omnipresence and omnipotence. People question theirselves because if God exists, we supposedly don't have a free will of choice. If everything actually happens but our minds still retains memories from our decisions, our past, our present and thinks about future, thus making us "unique" no matter how many of us actually exists (If you chose "Yes" and your other you chose "No", both are already different).

If you go deep with my theory, you will find that doesn't matter if you are theist or atheist, but we don't have a real motive to exist. Also, the existence itself is really contraditory.

Well, this isn't everything, but a resume.

Finding a reason to your existence is a reason itself, I'd say.
Humans have a need to explain everything around them, and its hard for most to accept that something happens "just because it does".

My favourite display of alternative universes was in The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

It would definitely be interesting to view an alternative universe, but I think its for the best that we don't, it wouldn't be healthy, dwelling on past regrets.
If you could actually travel to the alternate universe, its different, and I can't say for sure now, but I think I wouldn't do it. My life is my life and I am myself because of all the actions and decisions I took. Living something different would mean to live a life that's not mine, and I'm sure it would come to be hurtful with time. If I was the only one that knew that things are the way they are because I decided to change the past, I don't know if I'd want that.

As for clannad, I didn't like how it was set, I don't think it adds enough to the story through its development.
