Fans are speculating that: Shikinami (式波) is take from the name of a destroyer of Imperial Japanese Navy "敷波 (Shikinami) " or an Escort of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force "しきなみ (Shikinami)". Both are belong to "Ayanami Class": " 敷波" is the second destroyer and "しきなみ" is the fourth escort of "Ayanami Class", implying a close connection to Ayanami Rei. |
