Iceage - "You're Nothing"

This is more punk rock, but I think it was one of the better rock efforts of last year.

The Color Morale- "Know Hope"
Dayshell- "Dayshell"

These are more in the metal subgenre called metalcore, but maybe you'll enjoy them.

Black Dog Barking by Airbourne - Such a good, loud, in your face album
The world’s not perfect, but it’s there for us trying the best it can. That’s what makes it so damn beautiful.

Black Sabbath - 13
Megadeth - Super Collider
Dream Theater - Dream Theater
Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal (Don't laugh now, this is actually a decent record, a great shift in sound from their previous materials)

Trivium - Vengeance Fall

Killswitch Engage - Disarm the Descent

It's kind of in between hard rock and metal. You won't like it if you don't like screaming in your music.

The Black Dahlia Murder - "Everblack"

If you like Melodic Death this is an amazing album. Really heavy and fast paced stuff with great metal vocals.

Avenged Sevenfold: Hail to the King

The best advice I can give you, is steal everyone else's work and sell it as your own :D

This guy releases albums faster than Buckethead, I have his split with Amphibian, "Amphibians Against Humanity" and it's 2heavy4me

Amphibians Performing Surgery is my favorite project from Big Frog (I guess it's his project), it's just a little softer than Phyllomedusa :D

Gorguts - Colored Sands (Technical Death Metal)

As other users have pointed out, the recent releases by Deafheaven, Iceage, and Queens of the Stone Age are also quite stellar.
