| I had feared from the title that I could only name one, but if I can name several it should become a bit easier. My favourite couples of equal standings would be Haru / Kiichi from "Buddy System" and "XI Extreme Love" Taki / Gou from "Yellow" Teru / Shouji from "Mukizu ja irarenee" Natsu Satomi / Takei Nobuhiro from "Retsujou Kyoumushitsu" and "Junai Fetizm" Honda / Nagai from Saigo no doa wo shimero and possibly Akihito / Mizuki and Nowaki / Hiroki from Junjou Romantica (if you can count them as equal standings ... ) |
| I also listed Nowaki and Hiroki from the JR series, so I do believe they would count as equal standing. Hiroki is definitely not a passive uke! ^_~ p.s. I really like the look of Haru/Kichii in the pics section, so I am off to find the manga to check them out!! |
| I guess I have to agree, all 3 Junjou Romantica couples don't really fill the classic uke clichés and Hiroki is probably the most outstanding of them, he's older than Nowaki and his career is more advanced and he has an independent personality (apart from loving Nowaki obviously). I wish I could read Buddy System and XI Extreme Love for the first time again. This is one of the few couples I know where I thought the uke tons hotter than the seme. But then they are reversi, so switch positions sometimes. |
| Hmm.. it's a toss up between Zassoukan no Juunintachi and Morimoto Shuu's G Defend or Asterisk. Morimoto Shuu's guys are strong, powerful people (although you need to let G Defend warm up a bit). In Zassoukan no Juunintachi, the relationship between Hitoha and Fuzuki is amusing. At first, Hitoha (the uke) literally chases down his men (whether they are willing or not), but eventually Fuzuki learns how to fight back and tame him a bit. |
| I can only think of one right now, but my favorite equal seme/uke couple is the pairing from Bond(z). I don't know what it is about that oneshot, but I really like it. I don't even know how many times I've re-read it anymore. |
