| Since I haven't read the manga and haven't finished part 5 yet I'll go with part 4 but I have really high expectations for part 7 |
| Stone Ocean. It has the best character development of any main character, a lot of stands that are just straight up insane, amazing character designs, and works really well as a climax to that specific story. The ending had me thinking about it for weeks and swinging back and forth between loving it and hating it (but like, a good kind of hate). I came down on the loving it side eventually. Jolyne is the best Joestar by far in terms of writing (though earlier chapters suffer a bit from the 'men writing women' issue; eventually he works it out). I actually felt like the cast were friends this time which is something it shares with part 4 and is an aspect I really like and feel is lacking in other parts. Great villain too. |

| Anyone else like Jojolion the best? It's definitely more heavy with it's flaws compared to something concise and brilliant like SBR but I just love the characters and the atmosphere and story so much to Jojolion with it's themes and how each character responds to their situations and setting. Literally the biggest problems everyone says about it just boils down to just wanting MORE of it. Kira from DiU remains my favorite bad guy though. I love Tooru for various reasons but I DO agree he should've had more to him in the story. I would've loved if we was a reoccurring oddball goofy comic relief dude who shows up with the big reveal by the end. |
