What visual novels would you love to see adapted into a TV series/OVA/Movie?

Personally, I would love it if Ever17 and Saya no Uta were adapted as 10 or 12 ep series, or maybe they'd work better as an OVA. Either way, that would be so awesome.

Speaking of Ever 17, I just translated the Intro (KAORI - LeMU) about 30 mins ago :-) Yep, it would be great.. the plot is cool ^^ But then again, it would be extremely complicated to do so :/ After all, they are just 5?6 people in a lone complex ^_^ Also, there is a lot of anime made from Novels :)

What didn't you like about Tsukihime's anime version? I enjoyed it quite for example, although that is the only main heroine I don't really like :/

the anime is horrible. all you understand while ending it is that Shiki's eyes are special, and that arc gets **lled.
terrible animation.
none of the characters are like thmeselves.

Most english translated games suck and they don't really have cool features like the newer ones. See "Miss Each Other" (couple of years but still..) -> now those are some cool effects, just like watching an anime, the plot lacks a bit and the choice making is kinda tricky cause there's a timer.. but great one as a whole ^^

My first visual novel; Narcissu. It was very simple and short in my opinion, but could easily be expanded on to make at least an 11 or 12 episode series.

talking about school days?
That is quite old and unique visual novel (I would rather call it interactive anime).

I think Ayakashi will be great as an anime, or Umineko :D

Narcissu. I enjoyed reading this and I think it deserves a drama/tragedy anime adaption. Piece@Pieces, Miko Mai and Nanaca Crash too.

Speaking of School Days.. a friend was talking about the anime version yesterday. A tough one, huh? Anyway.. I started to play the game (finally). Absolutely no such things here. I generally dislike games with no kanji (you can understand some words without really knowing them by reading kanji ^^) but this one was OK (motion kicks ass) Sooo.. a second "good version" with Kotonoha would be a nice I think. Hope I see that one :)

My thoughts exactly. It has an amazing story and you can interpret it in so many ways...

[Edit] Just noticed this "As for the film adaptation or TV-drama adaptation, often asked, is suspended for some reasons. I will inform you when I get some advance." Taken off of stage-nana's webpage.

A Crescendo adaptation would have to be H; the adaptation would most likely follow Kaho's route and the dialogue during the her H scene is the best heh. Problem is though, it has to have only one scene, which is no near enough for a H anime and many people dont even pay attention to the story in H animes anyways.

Ever 17 could work like Higurashi but there would be to many things that repeat themselves in each route which would be looked at as repetitive from an anime standpoint. in order for E17 to work they'd have to skip alot of those repeated scenes.

Not really, its just like other typical eroge, the different is it has an true route which is about friendship. The rest are pretty much the same

Agreed. Little Busters! is way too overrated.

well, since Tears to Tiara is getting made( although with retardedly remade character design), there ain't much. Was thinking about Ever17 but then I realized that part of the whole game is based around the kid not knowing his face, so that may not work.

Then there's Dies Irae that, although I have not read it, seems to awesome not to serialize.

And I am still waiting for a decent Tsukihime series after the manga, or Melty blood, that works too...

And we always have the 2 other Fate/Stay Night routes, that would just be abnormal if released

Top priority in my belief for anime adaptation: Fate/Stay-Night HF route.
srsly, Fate is the most boring of them, and even the Japanese who dislike Sakura admits HF is the 'true route'.

I also wish they'd release an August VN and actually do a proper job on it (Hanihani, Yoakena, Fortune Arterial). August's storylines are nothing exceptional, but their character designs... god their character designs... *nosebleed*
None of their anime ever came close to achieving that studio's top-tier graphics and absolute moe

Frankly, I think KEY concepts are never that out-of-norm, and once you grasp their logic you can predict half the paths anyways. But it's mainly their presentations that's top tier. Nevertheless, it's still amazing enough to get on my want list.

IMHO, the format of the LB story should actually make it very easy for adaptation, seeing as everything comes together at the end.

But... you know Kyoani WILL make it, so I'm not worried about this one at all =9

It follows the PS2 remake char designs, which I think is much better.

Planetarian:
Hmm, not so sure. Planetarian wouldn't really fit in the movie or anime style. First of all, I find that animations tend to be very hard when trying to keep a strict First Person PoV storytelling- which without, Planetarian wouldn't Planetarian. Also, there's no real "action" or any real "drama" scenes to make a movie out of. (Btw, I'm not considering a Planetarian anime at all.)

Ever17-the out of infinity:
No. Remember all the loops and time changes and etc? You think that would work in an anime?

F/SN: Unlimited Blade Works
We already have a movie.. be satisfied with it, xD. (Btw, UBW is probably the only route of F/SN that actually is a proper war. Fate, I guess but it just doesn't cut it. HF is good, but that isn't really a true Heaven's Feel >.> (No matter what the title of the route is.))

Tomoyo After
This one actually might make a good anime. A pretty much linear plot, enough drama within the middle and a plot along with a nice little ending. I personally think that this would make a better anime than Little Busters!.

Tsukihime
Agreed, but doubt it. Either way, the current anime adaptation sucks.

Can't comment on crescendo- yet.

As for me? I say...

Kana ~Imouto~
Not as much as an anime (it wouldn't work), but a movie or a long OVA. Doesn't matter. As for the route, I know the Ending #1 is supposedly the best one, but I would like Ending #6, really.

OMGWTFOTL
If they manage to do this properly, they are geniuses, gods, and the greatest minds known in anime history. But really, it might end up as a hilarious OVA or something.

Ever17, Saya no Uta, eden*, Little Busters!, Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, December When There is No Angel, Planetarian, Yume Miru Kusuri, Cross Channel, Kizuato and 12Riven are probably the only ones I can come up with now, although there are probably a bunch more I'd like to see in anime form. Narcissu would make a nice OVA too.

If you've watched the Higurashi or Umineko adaptations, you should know that that's not a problem anymore. I know that ever17's time loops are much more complicated, but I'm sure that a decent studio would be able to adapt it into an anime without too many problems.

If you've watched and played Higurashi, I am sure you will not be making that claim. The anime is good in its own right, but by no means did they keep the plot intact (especially the original)
