| I'm thinking of purchasing the DVD of this soon, partially because I haven't bought any DVDs for a while, partly because I heard animation in this is insane, and partially so I can make use of that Google Checkout $10 thing. I haven't previewed it with fansubs yet...cuz I'm having trouble finding them for some reason. So anyone here who has seen it, is it worth it? this is gonna cost me $11 including S/H and Google Checkout and all that. |
| yes absolutely. This is an awesome movie. I bought the Shinkai collection so i got voices as well. This is coming from a person who doesn't buy many dvds |

| Yes, "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" is a good movie with an interesting plot. Like Faust, the DVDs collection I bought also came together with "Voices of a Distant Star" and an OST. I really love the OST. |

| the shinkai collection come with both of his works Voices in a Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days along with the voices OST. Retail price I think was around $40 but I bought mine on sale for $24, but that was a while ago so you'll have to look around now for current prices |

| I definitely recommend this movie too. Watched it a long time ago and I still remember bits and pieces. Worth $11 I think. |
