| Great episode. I really don't think they took full advantage of the theme of music in this series though. Other than the town being named "Kanon" and the cures having musically related names and attacks, there really wasn't much of it outside of the occasional concert or competition. |

| And so it will end. An incredible step down from HeartCatch. I am beyond saddened. I pray that Smile will go back to the way HC was: beautiful, developed, mature, and very VERY exciting. |

| that was so underwhelming. i liked the new outfits (of course) - they were stunning. but they had them for what 20 seconds? it was all just very anti-climactic + i was (perhaps unrealistically) expecting better. hibiki + hummy were (as usual) the only ones to stir any emotion in me, but the directing was so off that any emotion they built up dissipated instantly. |
| In general, I'd say the series is definitely below HeartCatch in quality, at least in part due to dragging the finale out over too many episodes and triggering it in an incredibly stupid way. But when it comes to the finale of the fight with Noise, I'd definitely say it improved over the fight with Dune. |
| I've found this episode to be amazing, I really like Noise as a villain, I think he's one of my favorites from the whole franchise. I really liked that they reached out to him at the end, though that didn't stopped them from having a badass fight, and I really liked how the themes played out in the end. I'm not even mad at the "power up" transformation because it seemed natural, and again used the themes of music + sadness vs happiness nicely. I'm hyped up for the last episode ! |
