| As this is the first official September manga of the fortnight I won't be solely focusing on shonen-ai. Now then.... I'm certain almost everyone is dreading the return of school still attempting to kick the habits of summer vacation so what better why to speed up that 'back to school' process than with a school-esque manga? I know I've said this several times before but... Seito Kaichou Ni Chuukoku (better known as "Hey Class President" - at least that's what I know it as) by Monchi Kaori is one of my personal favorite manga. I honestly can't help having avid favorites, they keep my interests going.  According to the Mal Synopsis: High-strung Chiga finds himself questioning the results when his judo team partner, Kokusai, is elected class president of their all-boys school. A president, of course, needs a running mate - and just like that, Kokusai appoints Chiga to be his vice-president! How did a slowpoke like Kokusai win an election, anyway?! It quickly becomes clear that Chiga's major vice-presidential duty will be to keep Kokusai out of harm's way, but is he up to the task? This manga has its humor and it also has its serious moments and because there is no available volume four it also has one hell of a cliffhanger. My vote: 4/5 - I never stated all my personal favorites were immensely great or anything. |
