Does anybody know if there is going to be a second season of Umineko no naku koro ni?

Studio DEEN hasn't disclosed any information as of late, but given the way the anime ended, I won't be surprised if there's an Umineko Chiru anime in the works.

I loved the first adaptation of Umineko, and would love to see DEEN-face Erika doing her thing. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one, even if everyone else disagrees.

Oh, how I wish for a Chiru anime with Aoi Yuuki voicing Erika and Mamiko Noto voicing Dlanor...

I'd watch it. But I don't think the first season did that well, so I dunno.

First season was the worst shit ever. I hated just from the start, and in fact, made me hate Umineko before reading the novel.

F*ck you Studio Deen.

Anyway, I wanna see some characters animated, that's a red truth.

This adaptation was pretty much the worst one (after Tsukihime, which cannot be even called 'an adaptation') ever. Nothing made sense, third fourth of the original plot was lost, voice acting was crappy, characters were underdeveloped and making an adaptation of Chiru with such a huge amount of omitted information would be a laugh. If you want an adaptation of Chiru and you've actually read it, you should rethink whether you want your Umineko slaughtered for sure, and if you want it since you have yet to read it... well, read it - for your own sake.

I don't know what you've been watching, but Umineko's voice acting was splendid. You're in the minority.

It's all a matter of contrast. By itself the anime is good in my opinion. Now when you compare the anime to the visual novel, it makes the anime look like shit. The visual novel is that amazing.

Oh, how I wish for a Chiru anime with Aoi Yuuki voicing Erika

i'm fairly positive that if Chiru hapens, Erika's voice will be Yukari Tamura

Last two games (or rather, everything after Banquet) made sure of that.

I would love to see the second season.
I really liked the anime and I read the novel after I saw it... and I still love the anime...
Voice acting and characters desing was great for me...
And I would really like to see Erika. She is my favourite chara of the series...

On the one hand, there are a lot of scenes I'd love to see animated (the endgames of EP5 and EP6 in particular), but on the other hand, I have the feeling that Chiru might be too intricate to adapt properly even with a good studio at the helm. Some of the tricky narrator shenanigans probably wouldn't translate well to a visual medium either.

Actually, it would be nice if some individual scenes could be animated for PS3 version of Chiru, instead of just using static images.

I want a second season very badly.
Putting the fact that it was "shitty" (it was perfectly fine for me, for a person who DID NOT read the novel at all) aside.
It was okay, plus, the ending was a mayor cliffhanger
so it would be best that Studio DEEN makes a Second Season at least, for those who watched the anime and were left wondering about the ending.

Just saying, :/ its just a "person who only felt like watching the anime but didn't even try to read the novel/manga" opinion.

I haven't read the VN yet, so i'm not sure this would work, but could they do what they did first arc of Higurashi Kai? Make up another arc to fill in a few as many things they left out as possible?

...I am disappointed.

A message to the Visual Novel readers: How the hell can you say the anime adaptation is good if it loses almost ALL its epicity!??!?!?!?!?!?!

I mean
Why don't you just give up and die?

I know right. I only watched some scenes that were sooooooooooo epic in the VN, look completely lame and average in the anime.

The novel is literally, LITERALLY, WAY BETTER. The "only anime watchers" cannot even imagine or understand how epic the novel is compared to the anime adaption.
