So basically the purpose of this thread is to answer questions about the new BB.
Whether it's storyline or game-play related such as tactics and etc.

Generally http://www.dustloop.com/forums/forum.php Should be your first go to but sometimes you get lazy and don't really want to post for whatever reason, can't find the information or think your question is too noobish to be asked there.

So go ahead and ask away about anything here~

If it's gameplay related I'll try my best to answer the questions since I've had a fair amount of experience with the arcade version and about half the characters but I can't answer everything as I don't play every character and the scene here is quite small... :(

Because That's Makoto's drive xD

Pseudo-dive kick w/ Hazama j.6/4d~d > j.b

Which is a better controller, PS3 or the 360?
With CS coming out, I'm thinking of trading in my 360 for a PS3. I don't use the D-pad at all, and was wondering how the PS3 is in terms of using the analog stick. It just doesn't feel natural compared to the 360 controller. I don't want to switch over and then have to be screwed over because I can't do anything >.> Just wondering if I can get any inputs regarding the differences in controllers.

Honestly. and I'm sure most people would agree with this, Don't use the analog stick on either. They're relatively inaccurate in registering inputs and too sensitive and easy to mess up because of their design. I suggest using PS3's D-pad since 360's D-pad is horrendous for fighters. But if you had to use a Pad's stick then 360. It's in a comfortable position which means you can do your inputs better. Seems to be less flimsy too.. All opinion ofc.
Its really, play with what you feel most comfortable with.

Neither. Use a stick.

But if you're stuck with pad, use 360 analog stick (sorry it gets the job done very well) or get a PS2 -> PS3 converter. PS3 dpad sucks hard.

i am very funny

but in reality the ps3 pad in general sucks hard b/c its ridiculously light (IT FEELS LIKE YOU'RE HOLDING AIR) and the dpad is a POS with a horrible feel until you break it in (and even then i'm sure a ps1/2 pad would feel better). also what's which l2/r2 being actual triggers? it's stupid.

It's better than 360 Dpad though imo.
My experience with 360 dpad is that it barely registers shit and its not as.. rigid? as the ps3. Like with the ps3 pad I know what direction im hitting but with the 360 one, I'm sure i'm doing the inputs right but it just doesn't come out since the dpad is really loose and keeps sliding to different angles.

i like how light the ps3 pad is but.. imo the ps2 pad's dpad was better.
either way aesthetics really.

stick is bestest.

In terms of pads

PS1(the old one that didn't have analogs)> PS2 > PS3 > 360

This thread has more to do with gameplay questions than story questions, but eh, why not.

Of course, basing my stuff on what I've read on the massive spoilers thread. July 27th can't come fast enough. D:

I think I'll stick with the 360 for now.
I'm gonna pick up the PS3 on the way, but later rather than sooner. The analog just feels way more nature to me. I would also get a stick, but I don't have the funds, and I'm afraid in my household, it'd break within 3 days.

Also, regarding Bang,

360 & PS3 are GOOD with d-pads. the end. I don't know, I hate when people likes one after the another, but overall both of them are good. Well for me it is. :]

PS3 d-pad is so much better than 360
360's stick is better than PS3's
d-pad is better than using pad analog sticks..
yeah
its really up to the player though.

Funny...I always thought that skills were the bigger factor, not what you use.

Although that shitty Madcatz SE stick is also a big factor for me since I suddenly become shitty at BB when using it instead of the controller.

WHAT IS A PAD!? A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF BUTTONS! But enough talk! Let's play BB.

So, which is shittier. Tsubaki's Unlimited or Noel's Unlimited?

How to fight Tager as Hazama
Run away and throw chains all day. Force them to come to you and watch out for spark bolt. Bait it by super jump j.6d. All they have to stop you from chains is spark bolt and sledge. IB Jayoku out of pressure and 214D~B to stop entries or pre-emptive chains. His large size means you can't really miss and force him to block.
(works on 80% of tagers online)

How to fight Hazama as Tager
Be glad you're not fighting Bang.
There really isn't much you can do except try to move in on him. IB chains and if he tries to move in, 2C / 5A counter him (whatever suits you). If you score a knockdown try to keep him from running. His only reversal is Jayoku. His flash-kick has 6 frames of no-invul. If you decide to jump in on him always be ready to barrier block. Jakou ruins your day.

I hated the cookie cutter ending art in Continuum Shift's Arcade mode what was up with that? One of the games aspects I love its unique works of art... GLORIOUS ART! *drools*
