Missing Nin Welcome Welcome! This right here is a suggestion, also serving as the root for the Missing Nin Info sticky in case its approved! Thus Ill speak as if the system already was approved to give a better view on how this will function. Please take everything here with a grain of salt and do not mind minor spelling mistakes, I am sure they are numerous. Hey there! Domo! You might be thinking this right.. Oh! Missing Nin? individuals vs the everyone!? ROW ROW! lets fight the powah! Hold! Stop right there, read this through before you go jumping on this particularly risky bandwagon. Welcome to the Missing Nin Info thread, now that you are here, you are probably very eager and curious about the Missing Nin right? or do you have it all figured out? regardless of your answer, you've gotta read this massive thread before making a choice! Some of you are completely new, starting out as Missing Genins while others are experienced members. Read this thread at least once! No twice! before deciding to go for this path or not, betray your village etc... Well without further ado. ______________________________________________________________________ Want to become "Badass"? While Missin Nins are indeed, Badass! Their badassery makes them victim of numerous hardships which will be diligently explained to you in this thread, for despite being badass... Missings Nins are probably the hardest type of Character to RP. General Information As a Missing Nin you are effectively the only type of "neutral" Ninja in this world. While Villages might war on etchoher and share rivalry and friendships. You are different. You are a missing ninja, a deserter who betrayed his oaths. Everyone is your enemy, any ally you get will only be temporally. You can't even trust other Missing Nins, you might find allies in some of them, but you might also easily find a dagger in your back. Do not consider other Missign Nins as your "nakama" they are most likely not. Your very existence as a Missing Ninja will be rough, you will live in a world where you are constantly hunted and none will protect your from the strong which might attempt to make you their personal lapdog or just kill you outright! Just to make it more clear why you might consider getting the BEEP out of here. 1. Hard Experience Gain (Ill cover this soon) 2. No Permanent Allies. 3. No Resting place (Your always at risk, anyone can engage you at anytime as long as they have a valid rp reason to do so.) 4. Hunter Nins (Players and NPCs alike will always be hunting you, ill explain this later in the text) 5. Once Youve gone "Missing nin" there is no turning back, no village will ever trust you again. 6. No Multi-Threading 7. Bullying 8. Death Power Ranking. (Reading music! yay!) This is a list of the different Power Levels a Missing Ninja can be bracketed into. (this is not really balanced properly yet)(Figthing anything 2 ranks above your level is close to impossible to win) - Legendary: This Missing Ninja has become an unclassable legend, there names are forever sealed in history as the strongest Ninjas to have lived, they are always hunted and feared, and not a single person does not know the name of every single Legendary "Missing Nin" currently walking the earth. These people face of at equal terms with the other tops like the Hokage, however they have the added luxury of being completely free of responsibilities and even the morals that slows Village Ninjas, making them especially dangerous. A legendary Nin does not need to worry much about being hunted by anything less than than S Jounin level, he is free to walk openly everywhere with the exceptions of Ninja villages. Even if spotted, few have the guts to engage the legend, and even fewer have the strenght to even scratch the legendary force. - Class S: Special Jounin Strength, these individuals are almost worthy of being legends, their power makes them able to have a chance against any other strenght above them, even a "kage" must be careful when facing of versus such a frighting individual. It is at this level of strenght where you can start to relax a little, hunter nin npcs cannot be of S-jounin strength, enabling you to easily wipe out any non-player character. Class A: The same strength as a Jounin, this Ninja is a terror to all he encounters, a B can barely touch this Missing nin in terms of power. Class B: A well trained and experienced Missing Nin, he ether left his village after becoming a Chunnin or somehow trained himself to this point. A class B can school Cs and Ds but can still be overcome by coordinated attacks by even weak Genins. Class C: This Ninja can actually defend himself and thus, be a pain in the ass for some feudal lords. At this Rank Hunter Nins from all over the world will start to hunt you, you are officially listed in the book of renown and thus have now earned yourself a place in the "Hunter Nin" system Class D: A Ninja which left his village at the Genin level, this ninja is a pointless kill in the eyes of any bounty hunter or even a hunting nin, only nins from his own village will ever attempt to hunt this individual. They are not really known to the general 'in and as a result can walk straight into villages (Not his original of course) without much fear of being attacked. BINGO BOOK! The Bingo Book is a book that contains any and all information on every missing-nin, which all Hunter nins of the major shinobi villages are given by their respective Kage to hunt down and assassinate. To Missing-Nin however, its a source of pride. Many Missing-nin use their status in the bingo book as a form of ranking, two A class Ninja might use the book to rate which one is the strongest without fighting, while others are simply amused by whats written about them. (SYSTEM UNFINISHED AND IS NOT A PRIORITY) Hunter Nins When a Missing Nin posts in a thread, he is automatically "revealed" This means that in a varied time(based on your current power level) an admin might jump into your thread and declare it open for Hunter Nins. Players will then be able to jump into your thread and engage you. If Players are too far away aka, if mr. bob is in konoha, and the missing nin is in the land of earth, of course that ninja won't be able to engage, but he can still take control of his own NPC Hunter Nin and engage. A set number of Hunter Nins can engage in a thread, an admin might state this: YOU HAVE BEEN FOUND This Thread is now open for the maximum of: 2 Hunter Nins! Then two pages later. Reinforcements! Two additional Hunter Nins may now Join the Field Players can only RP one Hunter Nin NPC at a time, if that hunter nin dies, he loses his chance to continue the engagement. If a player wants to engage with his own char, she/he must make sure that the Hidden Nin is in HIS land, a ninja of the sand cannot attack a missing ninja who reveals himself in another land unless your somehow in close proximity because of a story arc or the like. This list is to give admins and players a view on what kind of power attracts what and why? Legendary: A legendary Nin does not need to worry much about being hunted by anything less than than Jounin level Hunters, he is free to walk openly everywhere with the exceptions of Ninja villages. Even if spotted, few have the guts to engage the legend, and even fewer have the strenght to put a dent in the legendary force. Class S: A S class makes crowds of people panic with his mere presence, Hunter Nins will be on such a ninja like flees to a bright light, however there is no such thing as an NPC Class S Hunter Nin, thus it will be a fairly pointless endeavor. S Classes rarely have to face Hunter Nins and just like the legendary nins and As, enjoys the relative comfort power brings. Class A: Class A nin have hordes of Hunter Nins, 6 Hidden nins allowed in a thread. A class A missing nin enjoys the luxury of having the speed and strenght to scare away most hunter Nins, making the occurrence of Hunter Nins in there threads much rarer than it would be for a Poor B class. Class B: Class Bs are fairly known, such a ninja has started to earn his own personal fan boys amongst the hunter nins. A Bs life is probably the worst phase of any Missing Nins life, they are known enough to be constantly hassled with hunter Nins but they still lack the power to effectively defend themselves, this combo makes this phase of power a graveyard for missing nin. Class C: You are now known well enough to draw hostile eyes. Cs can no longer walk into villages, even those that does not belong to him. He must always live in fear of being found by hunter-nins. Class D: You are completely unknown, unless you somehow cross before a ninja from your old village, none will even bother to attack you. Thus you can enter other villages unchallenged. If there are none to engage you, anyone can jump into the thread as a "Hunter Nin" NPC and engage, these hunter nin NPCs are of a fixed strength. If the Missing Nin is of Genin level, he will only encounter Genin level Hunters, Chunnin Nins can only meet Chunin Hunter Nins and so forth. However it must be noted that even if they are of the same rank, the missing nin will always be sufficiently stronger and will not be easily defeated. 2 hunter nins might be nothing for a missing nin, but if more and more players join the thread as hunter nins, the odds might go against the Missing Nin. Once engaged by a Hunter Nin, the missing Nin must ether defeat the Hunter/Hunters or escape. The MS(Lets just call it that) Cannot escape the moment a Missing nin enters the battle, he must wait a few posts before witting a GOOD escape post, which must also give the opponent a chance to react. Escaping Hunter Nins is not an easy task so you can't just write *Runs away super fast* Hunter Nins cannot intervene in private threads, such as duels etc. Freedom Being a lawless gives you alot of options that Village nins don't have. - Creating Organizations for Missing Nins such as the "Akatsuki" - Steal, Pillage Maim and Burn - You can interact with any plot currently going on with the right RP reasons. - You can attack whoever you like without any restrictions. (Unfinished) Death Death.. While other characters usually cannot be killed without the owners permission, Missing Nins can. This is a system created to force Missing Nins to use their heads, being caught by Hunter Nins can actually do more than leaving a few fantasy scares on your character, it can also fantasy kill him. There is consequence for stupidity. The Death System is really only a way to stop you from doing stupid shit, like attacking a village like Konoha while your only a genin, in such situations, you can easily be killed. You are supposed to act like an outcast, your a criminal and if you stop acting like your hunted, you will simply get killed off. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ill explain it like this: John wants to kill the Missing Ninja which has dumbly wandered into a fortified base. He does so my engaging in a rather long fight, completely clear of god modding, he then manages to score a wound which he considers a killing blow. He can then PM the link to the duel and the request for the death to be accepted. For it to be approved, 3 admins must post their agreement. If the admin has some personal problems with the guy on the table, that admin will be excluded from the vote. Now normally a Missing Ninja rarely gets voted to death, this is a rare occurrence that will only take place if the missing ninja does something ridiculous stupid, and in this case. John wins the case. The Missing Nin wandered into a fortified base even though he was way underpowered in all respects, he had no back up, no one to treat the wound, and the killing wound had also been delivered fairly. Thus the Missing Nin ends his career at that point. Death will rarely be approved unless the MS did something like the latter mentioned, but it is still a risk, if we feel like a Missing Ninja has lost respect for the reality of his situation, then he might stand with a bad defense the next time his head comes to the chopping block. Its important to understand that this system is not there to make the life of a missing ninja hell(well kinda..),its there to make it more interesting! Every thread you create or join, there is a small risk of dying, and doing stupid choices will end you in a situation where the chance of death is severe. (Ill also want to ask for a possibility to allow for Normal Characters to also get the risk of dying in the face of a Missing Nin, this is to make the Missing Nin something to fear and to stop people from mindlessly charging the Missing Ninja.) MULTI THREADING While it might be accepted to post in several threads at a time with a Normal Nin, this is not the fact for Missing Nin. A Missing Nin as have been explained, is more sensitive in terms of "location" that other Ninjas, thus they are forced to keep a single location at a time. Basically if they reveal themselves somewhere, they must stay in this location until they leave it, inside that thread of course. This counts only to threads that has some sort of story involved. Private duels etc which cannot be messed with does not count as multi-threading and is allowed. Basically. You can post in as many private threads as you want, but only in a single "Arc, Story, Plot, Missions" thread at a time. MS Experience System Missing Ninjas can ether join this chaotic neutral faction at a higher level of power or as even a simple Genin. How Missing Ninja get experience is different from Village Nin. A Missing Nin has no official origination to rule him, thus he receives no missions or jobs. He works alone, and thus have a more varied way of getting experience, however, this also makes it much harder. A Missing Nin can get experience for the following tasks. 1. Interrupt Village Nin Missions(with permission) 2. Get hired as a Merc by a village or a person and do the jobs you are assigned. 3. Acts of Chaos (Stealing, Causing Havoc, Murder, Kidnapping, etc.) 4. Bounty (Attack, kill or capture other Missing Nin) 5. Rise to power (Seek power in various ways, be creative) 6. Work for the current Shadow King 7. If Hunter nin arrives in your thread, extra experience will be granted depending on the results. A Missing Nin can not perform his experience gain threads with massive posts, he must do them with a number of short posts with a healthy time period in between. Especially in Acts of Chaos, which are generally threads started by yourself, in such missions Hunter Nins will be admissioned into the thread very quickly, thus the missing nin is forced to shorten his posts to allow possible intervention. Its a rule that is easy to stretch, but the general guideline is that Missing Nin must always allow players to react to there thread in a certain way, if an admin does not announce you as open to attack within a reasonable timeframe, then go ahead and execute the rest of your task. Example: Medium long post, posted at 2.00 pm Medium long post, posted at 5.00 pm Final Post, posted at 8.00 pm. Acceptable (you have given people a reasonable amount of time to react) LONG single Post 1.00 Am Short Final post 1.11 Am Unacceptable! (you are not supposed to make large single posts nor did you give anyone time to react.) You go by the same XP requirements as other Nins. L Class: (Hokage, Sennin, etc) S Class: (S Jounin) A Class: (Jounin) B Class: (Chunnin) C Class: (Genin) D Class: (Genin, this rank might obviously be removed) Merc Jobs As a Missing Nin it is very likely that you might find yourself working as a Merc for one of the Villages. When A Merc you are allowed limited access to the hiring village(depending on the contract ofc) You do the assigned work, mission, fullfill any contract or horribly back stab them. Just like they can choose not to pay you or even attempt to kill you. Being a Merc can be a very valuable and fun RP experience, but it is risky and extremely dangerous, remember how people treat mercs, and in this world, you can die. The Shadow King The world of Rouge Ninja is a dangerous but free one, there are indeed no rules or trivial protocol to keep you in check. And while many might struggle for the rank of "top dog" amongst missing nin, others working for their own ambitions and so forth. Amongst them there is an individual which separates himself from the rest. This is the "Shadow King" The only order in which there are none. The Shadow King is not essentially the strongest of the Missing Nin, but he is indeed the most feared, and that is indeed where his power to control Missing Nin derives from. The Shadow King is the most able individual at gathering large amounts of Missing Nin for common goals, or his own. He does so as mentioned by mixing fear with respect and plots that twine otherwise anarchistic beings together. This is still of course, relative to the Nins he tries to control, the stronger they get, the less controll he has on them. But for young Missing nin that somehow stumbles under his influence, may find themselves deeply snared within his plans. The Current Shadow King is a man shrouded in mystery, said to once have been a Sennin, while others claim that he was a kage or even a mighty feudal lord! Those that have encountered him and lived to tell the tell, all give different stories, some claim he is kind, some even call him noble! while others describe him as cruel, crude and wicked, just as others make the claim that he is drop-dead silly. Personality aside, it is clear that any Missing Ninja would be wise to think twice about opposing him. For in the world of anarchists, the man with the power to control is king. Too Much? There is nothing to be ashamed about, you should turn away from picking a Missing Nin if you even hesitate for a moment! It is hard, so none is going to call you weak for not picking this path. Its filled with details as you might have picked up already <.< Missing Nins are for those that want that "extra" challenge, that enjoy the fact that they are a "criminal" and this system is there to make it more enjoyable for them! If you still want to be boundless.. You can always become a and become a lonely hermit or something... Anyways, thanks for reading this immensely oversized Suggestion version of this system, it is still raw and in need for editing and balancing. Please come with as much comments as you can! |

We need to have a test seeing which ninja deserves the title of Akasuki when the time comes not just give them the title |

Well... that was a light read... I do totally approve of this system. Very interesting and dangerous. I like the fact that they can die, and I think we should implement that somehow into the "normal" characters as well. Just so that someone doesn't run off to the frontlines and attempt to fight an army of anbu/kages by himself, since he can't die. And since this system is so huge then I don't think that we will need the akatsuki at all. Good job kant!! |

Yeah, I don't think the should have the Akatsui either. While we need to steal the basic set up, stealing organizations from the show instead of making new ones is a bit boring, even though everyone loves the Akatsui and it may help attract members. Anyway, I don't tend to give out compliment too easily but amazing job with this, it made me wanna be a missing nin because it was so well written and complex, though I wanted to be a loyal leaf ninja >.< desicons. As much as I hate to flatter you great job, and as much as I'd like to help I can't find enough flaws >.> only a few typos. I agree on Bill about normal ninja dying, but then they can't rp again under that character...death is scary v-v (Which is why I making a dragonball club so people can go to Otherworld and other people can revive them =D Sorry for kinda advertzing here.) It makes me wanna be a missing nin because of the extra challange..but my character's personallity doesn't fit T^T Oh yeah, and haha since the shadow king has mulitple personallites >.> TYPOS I SPOTTED Class F:(I think this should be D, it may have been on purpose though.) You are completely unknown, unless you somehow cross before a ninja from your old village, none will even bother to attack you. Thus you can enter other villages unchallenged. The MS(Lets just call it that) Cannot escape the moment a Missing(I think this was meant to be Hunter) nin enters the battle, he must wait a few posts before witting a GOOD escape post, which must also give the opponent a chance to react. SUGGESTIONS (Though they aren't that good.) You could take out S and just use L, or make A Special Jonin and S inbetween Special Jonin and Kage since Kage is such a high power level, or knock out D like you're considering even though it feels weird to start at C. I'd like to say add an assassin part to the MS exp, but that's kind of covered in working for the shadow king and Merc. Also do you plan to add in exp simply for fighting a non-hunter nin in a one on one thread or does that not count for anything? |

Thanks for the Typo pointers simple. Ill look into what you said about the power rankings, I also feel like I need to recalculate that, and indeed this is not the final system. I am also going to rewrite the XP part, basicly you get XP for pretty much anything creative or involve figthing, as the SK or whatever I might decide to call me, since I am aktive ill be handing out experience based on what the Missing Nin do. If a Missing Nin decides to steal a scroll from Konoha, resulting in an epic story where he defeats multiple hunters and a player before managing to successfully run off with the scroll? Then I might give him alot of xp for that. I want to make it feel like Missing Nins dont have a guideline, they arent given missions unless they work as mercs, so what they do and create on their own is whats going to give them experience. Of Course a duel thread would count, but its important for a Missing Nin to mark it out if the thread is a "story" thread or a "Filler" thread, if the thread is a story thread then you will of course get much more xp but you may also die and hunter nins can join in. If its a private filler duel, its not really part of the duel, you will get xp but less, no hunter nins can join etc. Bah I should start remaking alot of things instead of throwing my emerging ideas at you :) Thanks for the pointers m8 |

It is vary good, I was thinking that it needs a time between posts for each set of missions: e.g. d rank missions: 15 minutes per post: c rank: 30 mins between each post: b rank: 1 hour a class: 2 hours s rank 3 hours and legendary no time limit. |

Kill other players? yes but the Admins will have to approve it, if you can use logic to beat an opponent into a situation they can't escape from unless they pull some God modding then you can kill them, but like i said you need to get the Admins Final Approval. |

Well I would not say nessicarly more powerfull, however I would say that you might develope a figth style based on survival and a hars reality that might make you more deadly. And there is indeed easier to get SP faster than that of a village nin, and much more fun! However.. Death.. Yeah.. |

well, since kant went for a little 'road trip' *stares at kant* i was forced to leave my village to become evil....now that he's back i can't return to kiri...instead i'm planning to kill kant XD or i want to if it's possible, or atleast make him run away....also i have a suggestion for missing nin particularly.(putting it here cus it seems like suggestions dont get checked much >.> also it has relevance, will also post in suggestions) a bingo-book thread. set up something like this. Kiri (spoiler) -a bingo book for all kiri nins- Konoha(spoiler)- a bingo book for konoha Kumo- iwa- yada yada yada...(you get the picture) then seperate posts for missing nins which they can update, this may also stop a bit of meta-gaming or may cause it, not sure. but this is how the characters bingo book will be set out. -your details- e.g. Name: Jyenh Terumi Class: S Kekkai Genkai: Boil Release Title: blood-hound of the hidden mist Appearance/pic: self explanatory Extra: appearance changes, kill all of the swordsman of the mist at the same time, killed shadow of iwa, seemingly single-handedly destroyed a ginormous rock golem called the colossus, faught on par with the tsuchikage temproarily until black knight interfered, killed black knight, isn't of terumi blood-line (you get the drift, any accomplishments, anything that others may think of your deeds even if you know they're wrong, side-stories like marriages and children, best friends etc.) Stats: (player stats) (spoilers will then be added afterwards, having the targets name written as a title, each spoiler is a new page in the bingo book, you set it out like how you set out your profile but only enter info you know, so you can't put stats or signiature jutsu's of a player into the bingo book if you hav't seen them fight or fought them, if you've heard rumours in stories you may but the info can be incorrect, it is like a real bingo book) You can styalise your bingo book however you'd like. you only cross targets off, never delete them. |

I like the idea of the actual bingo books :-) as it would make sense, and 'allow' people to know about certain characters, and also will give us a reason to execute people... Wow... that wasn't meant to be aloud |

Well, I'm sorry, as a character that relies on deception, the easiest way to keep my attacks fresh is to not let anyone live to tell the tale, rather than design new weapons for every fight. |

@Jyenh Bingo Books has been in the air for a loooong time Jyenh := Just not many people who would want to keep something like that updated, more admin work.. But I apprieacte the suggestion but unless we find someone who would be willing to keep that shit updated and read every thread on here then its not really going to happen. Also.. I was gone for a short while due to College Freshmans week and the following and you thought you were going to replace me? lol.. Harsh luck. My condolences. But this plan of yours to destroy me.. Or make me run away? In order to somehow take my place? Imao. Tracking me down is one thing, but actually fighting me and Winning!? Id really like to see you try ;) |
