| I've finished watching the first 3 films of Kara no Kyoukai and I've noticed so far that the films are mostly self-contained, with the exception of the 2nd film which gives the backstory of Mikiya and Shiki. I'll be completely honest, I haven't been enjoying these films all that much, I generally don't like episodic stuff and I haven't been hooked on this film series yet. My question is, are all the films self-contained? |

| They're not just intertwined. They are all not chronological parts of the same story. There's 2 main characters and the ultimate conclusion involves them. It all comes together once you finish watching, but is very confusing before you do. More than it needs to be IMO but I guess it's worth it. Ask your questions after that. |
