Season 2?

I don't know about everyone else, but I really I hope they do a season 2 building off this. I don't think this is an unpopular opinion but volume 3 butchered rwby and everything afterwards, I don't even remember how far I got before I just had to stop. If they build off this so that it can go on it'll 100% be way better and closer to fulfilling the hope that was had with volume 1 and 2 of the original. I'm definetly concerned about it not being likely though

Series ended with some fanart and VAs saying "thank you for watching", which usually means no sequel. Especially since Rooster Teeth recently imploded for some reason.
I think series should end before ID holders started cartering to shippers, which quite literally destroyed the series. Unless we'll have some serious retconning.

Jesus Christ no, this anime is plain up garbage and an insult to a RWBY fan like me, this anime is a downgrade to EVERYTHING compared to the OG RWBY so no, I don't want another season of this shit.

And how can you say that vol 3 butchered RWBY? vol 3 is actually the best volume and plenty of the RWBY fans agree with it, including me. It was vol 4 and up that did it but at least vol 4 and up improved the animation quite a lot so we lost some things, yeah, but we also gained better animation in the process so it wasn't all bad, vol 5 is kinda bad though but the rest of the volumes are decent in some aspects and hell, I even enjoyed vol 5 (the worst volume IMHO) more than this anime.

So no, I don't want to see a season 2 of this shit, I don't want them to rape the RWBY franchise more than they already did with this shitty anime.

Volume 3 did not butcher RWBY, it was Vol 4 and up (Monty dying, and new people taking over).

Also there’s legitimately no way for this to get another season.

This side story is pretty self-contained. There isn't room for a sequel, per se, but I would not be against more RWBY anime from Japan. However, that comes with a couple caveats. One, no more nightmare grimm. The concept had potential but was very poorly executed. Secondly, not Shaft. It was blatantly obvious that they saved their budget for very specific scenes, and rest of the show really suffered for it. Coupled with the fact that their staff were the ones who came up with the nightmare grimm idea, I don't need to see anymore RWBY from them.

It could happen. It’s always in the recommended and most popular sections on Crunchyroll. While I don’t think how well an anime is performing on Crunchyroll can save one that is underperforming in Japan especially if it isn’t from a studio owned by Sony. I do think it could save one that has marginal performance or needs a push to cancel or move forward on a second season.

It's all in the bluray sales, if they work, this show gets sequel. Otherwise not.

I thought volume 3 and 4 of RWBY was good. After that it got pretty weird and then bad, but I thought 3 and 4 were good
