It highly depends on your taste, I found the show to be very pretentious and didn't like it. On the other hand my friend loves it to bits

Everyone is talking about the 3d episode, personally I loved the show juste after the 5 first minutes ^^ go for it, especially if you love the monogatari series

Only watch Madoka if you are prepared for emotional suffering, and plan to watch the Rebellion movie after. The Madoka Magica story is not complete without the sequel movie. You can rent the movie on Youtube.

Just so you know, the “first and second movies” are just recaps of the original season.

Give it a shot. It’s not what you’d expect it to be. Not my favorite anime ever but it’s quality and nails what it’s aiming to do.
