The video is amazing and all, and obviously the animation is quite different from the usual, yet I don't see why it would be under the avant garde tag. I can't see it standing on the same level as Inaka Isha, 1001 Nights, Woman Who Stole Fingers or Angel's Egg in terms of how "experimental" the animation is (since the story isn't such an unique one for sure).
