| Okay, for all of you poor confused souls, here's the answer to the #1 question: What is my ID #? Your ID # is the same number that's on your member card. When you receive your member card, take note of the number written on it. From now on, this will be your personal ID # in the club. For every other limited edition, special edition, etc, I'll ask you to post your ID #. That's because I have an excel spreadsheet with all of the member names and IDs, and I can fill orders more easily by referring to that. So make sure you remember your ID # when requesting more cards. Actually you don't have to remember it, you can check the handy member list a few posts below this. Your ID # is: * The same number from your member card. Your ID # is NOT: * The number of the person above you plus one. * The number of the person above you minus one. * The post #. * A random number you like (especially if it's #666, show some originality). * "any", "next", "first available" or "?". * Your username. * ... or anything but the number on your member card, really. By the way those are all real examples of numbers people thought were their ID #. And here's the rest of the less-asked-but-still-important questions. FAQ I haven't received my member card yet, how do I know what's my ID #? *NEW* You can check the member list a few posts below and hope it was updated recently. If it's not... you'll have to wait until I update. Please don't message me asking for your ID #. Why didn't I get my card yet? It takes me time to fill all of the requests, since I'm doing all of this on my own and in my free time. Please allow at least 1 week for delivery. It's been a week already and I haven't got my card yet! / People who posted after me already got their card. Then you broke the rules. Did you: * Put a nickname instead of your username? * Put the wrong ID #? * Put "next" instead of the ID #? * Ask for more cards that you're entitled to? * Find a new creative way to break the rules? In most cases I'll have edited your post striking out your request and adding a note in blue text stating what you did wrong. Then you'll have to post a new request. I edited my post with the correct name/ID #, and you still haven't given me my cards. Why? You have to post a new request entirely. I don't go back and check old posts. I made a mistake and the card I wanted was a special/limited edition. The topic is now closed. Can I still get my card if I make a new post? You're out of luck, sorry. Even if you edit your post before I start making the cards, when I close a topic I copy all requests to a text file. I won't see any edit made after that. I posted my request correctly but you gave me the wrong cards. I'm sorry. Please leave me a comment or message me, and I'll get you the correct card as soon as I can. The card I got is different from the template, the font is smaller/different/etc, why? Sometimes I have to tweak the templates to fit the longer names. Maybe I'll shrink the font size to fit the longer names, or I'll put the name in another part of the card. Or, if your name has many caps, I might pick a less elaborate font to make your name readable. I try to keep those modifications to a minimum, though. If you don't want me to do this, you can list alternatives when you ask for your cards (i.e. Template: 1 (but 2 if my name doesn't fit)). I changed my name, can you change it on my cards as well? Depends, let me know and I'll figure out something. But make sure you tell me at once if you change your username, because I'll have to update the memberlist. My profile doesn't allow comments, can you send me a message with my cards? Please allow comments if you want to request cards from me, or friend me. I won't message people their cards any more, it's already enough work as it is. What's the difference between LE and SE? LEs are Limited Editions. These cards are limited to the first 60/80/whatever people who post. To get them, you simply have to post your ID# and the card(s) you want while the thread is open. Admins can request a LE even after the thread is open, as long as it's within a reasonable timeframe. If you miss a LE, you can get it from the Point Shop for 20 points. Cards made to celebrate 100+/200+/etc members are LEs but won't be found in the Point Shop. SEs are Special Editions. There is some special requirement you'll need to fulfill if you want these cards, so you'd better read the rules carefully because each SE will have its particularities. Not even admins can get those after the thread is closed. Some past SEs will be occasionally available in the Point Shop for 50 points. Do you accept helpers/other cardmakers? Not at the moment. Please don't ask to help me with making cards, I'll manage on my own for the time being. Will you affiliate with my club? Sure, just leave me a comment. Your club has to be related to member cards, or at least provide a member card. I have a question that's not covered here. Post here or message me and I'll reply ASAP. |
