I agree, easily the most interesting character in the show tbh. I love this show but would like to see it with different animation like Your lie in April, it would be beyond beautiful.

I've only seen Season 1 atm and Shimada is my fav. character. Kyouko is also interesting.

The animation in this is way better than YLIA animation. It’s made by Shaft.

Haven't seen that anime yet, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the animation as the studio is Shaft, but you could say that the character art is a bit different

I like March comes in like a lion plot more but YLIA is kinda like the same thing but better imo. You'll see similarities with the MC anyways.

My favourite character is probably the teacher. I forgot what was his name but I remember him the most out of all other characters.

Kai Shimeda is indeed interesting. But i keep finding myself biased towards
Misumi Tatsuyuki since he was voiced by Sugita Tomokazu.

Shimada Kai resonates with me on a very deep level. And so does Rei. I would pick either of the two depending on how I am feeling atm.

Wtf? Shaft did a fucking fantastic job on this! I would be seriously upset if this went to anyone else for a potential third season. Shaft know how to create an atmosphere like no other.

Let's be honest, shimada stole the show the moment he was introduced in the story. His character is just too good it's hard to even put in words. He's like Grimmer from monster, they both elevated the series quality so much. But still kirmiyama is such a great character with very well done characterisation and developpement, it's a hard pick but i slightly lean towards shimada.
