| Agree with Bame about being hard... May sound weird, but for me it would be Kaonashi from Sen to Chihiro, I find him the most interesting character from the Ghibli movies I've seen so far. |

| male character - HOWL (wipes fangirl drool off of face . . . .) :-D~~ Haku is a close second behind Howl, but I guess Howl has just a little more charm to him. Maybe Haku is just a bit too serious . . . . Female character - Nausicaa (yes, I know it's TECHNICALLY Pre-ghibli, but its Miyazaki, so I put it in the same boat.) Non-human character - Baron (He's such a clever and gentlemanly cat) |

| Hauru! Although I have read the book and he was much different - such a wonderful crazy men xD I really love him in the book, but I also like him in the movie. The scene, when his hair changed color from blond to red... and green plasma! I've laughed so much! In both - book and movie. Also like Totoro :D No need to say more (about him)! |

(you know, i actually have to read that book again 'cuz i was to focused on the movie and got a bit confused in the end! 9.9 but i loved it, of course! <3) have you guys read the manga in which whisper of the heart was inspired? (here) it's as sweet as the movie ^3^ (although the story is a bit shorter...!) |

| I think that's why Mr. Miyazaki is so treasured as a animator, because we've grown up with his work, and we can watch it a billion times and it still never gets old. |

Easily Nausicaa, she is probably my favorite character of all time. I prefer her from the manga because she is far more developed as a person. I even imported this rare poster from Japan: I also have another Ghibli poster, this one of Totoro.  |
