I think Rush is just more practical and reasonable then most of the people on board. They don't want to make hard decisions, they just want to whine and go home when they can't. I know that's how people would be in that situation but I'm watching from a third person perspective, and it can be annoying. I mean come on, the people on board are all "LOL RUSH JUST WANTS TO FIX THE SHIP THAT LOONY WE NEED TO FIND A PLANET TO SURVIVE ON" (LOL WHAT?).

I don't think they are making him out to be a bad guy persay so much as right now the people on Destiny are just thinking about themselves, which is frustrating but I have a feeling they will work towards it, unlike battlestar where the characters got MORE selfish and demanding as the show went on. Doesn't help also that we lost two people already because they thought going to another planet via the stargate when they only had 12 hours before the Destiny left without them was a good idea, one being a scientist too. It would have been 3 but Rush got Criminal guy to shot the other in the arm before he made that mistake :p.

I know right? His wife's dead, he had a rough childhood (you find out in the third part of the pilot that his dad worked the shipyards and glosgow, and he earned a schollership, which is why he is kind of an asshole, because he feels like he's earned the right to not have to explain himself to morons.) when military criminal doucshbag called him a rich boy and that he could never understand how he felt (LOL). The third part of the pilot though was better then the first two parts though I'll say that. Definitely on board with the show now, even though I'm trying not to get TOO excited yet.

WHY? HE'S ON FIRE NOW. Also saw the third part of the SGU pilot last night. Dr.Rush is so awesome, but...he's so physically weak it's kind of sad when big bad military criminal guy can push him around and put a gun in his face just cause he's being a bitch and won't share his water bottle in the desert. I hope he gets some guys on his side soon, cause these guys need to go.
