To start Off, before responding "why compare", well you certainly don't have to, but some people including myself, enjoy pitting shows against each other to find out which one is better. As long as you're not toxic and recognized it's mostly subjective there's no harm so why not.

Top to bottom, I'd say third place for me is Psycho-Pass, but fuck it's still such a good show, especially on rewatch, but that's true for all urobochi, just considering his writing style. The first time through tbh, I felt like I was wanting more, might just be personal. Makishima is such a good villain though, honestly one of the most compelling in anime.

Originally, I thought Fate/Zero was my fav, might have been influenced a little by nux, but still, it's so fucking good. End of honor is one of the best scenes in anime. Period. Plus the philosophical war is so captivating.

Madoka has taken the top spot for me though. I'd argue this show is a fucking masterpiece. Pretty much every named character is significant and developed, I'd argue for the majority each with /almost as much of a philosophical representation as to the characters in FZ. I knew the show was good the first time through and I know every watch after is going to make it better. I believe Homura can honestly compete with Okabe in terms of Time Traver character development, Id still say Okabes the best but we really only had a couple of episodes with Homura. I personally think she and Sayaka are some of the best-written female characters in anime. Sayaka's arc is so fucking tragic. Not to mention Madoka's mom is a fucking G.

Psycho pass first season is good but I dont know about the later ones so its third.

FYI Psycho Pass post S1 isn’t Urobochi. I haven’t even watched them nor do I plan to. So to include them would be like including the rest of Fate. But yeah fair enough, FZ is so good. Personally I’d argue both FZ and Madoka are S while I’d put Psycho Pass and an A probably.

Yup I heard that the other seasons of psycho pass werent that good, but even not counting them, fate/zero still takes the number 1 spot with madoka coming in second.

Madoka Magica definitely did a unique approach to it's genre and it had more influence on the genre but as an anime I'd say Fate/Zero is my favourite, although I have yet to finish Psycho Pass
