| It's Miyazaki even before ghibli. Both the manga and the movie are one of the most important and influential ever in comics and animation. Then tell me if it's worth watching(and reading). |
| I wasn't fond of it the first viewing, but a rewatch and paying attention a bit more made me love it. English dub might be a little clunky but it's got Patrick Stewart in it so can't complain. |
| I used to watch it over and over as a kid, loved it that much, but I haven't seen it in years so I'm not sure if it still holds up. It starts off pretty interesting, but you might get bored towards the end.. I don't know though. I'd say check it out! It's got action, a decent story, and a cool, post-apocalyptic aesthetic with the setting and designs for the characters/monsters. It's an important film for sure. |

| 80s anime looking bad is easily one of the biggest misconceptions in this community, if you like DBZ you shouldn't have any problems with since it looks much better than it and imo it's easily one of Miyazaki's best. |
