80s anime are better than today's just like old wines are better than new ones. Nausicaa is pretty decent.

It's Miyazaki even before ghibli.
Both the manga and the movie are one of the most important and influential ever in comics and animation.
Then tell me if it's worth watching(and reading).

I wasn't fond of it the first viewing, but a rewatch and paying attention a bit more made me love it. English dub might be a little clunky but it's got Patrick Stewart in it so can't complain.

I used to watch it over and over as a kid, loved it that much, but I haven't seen it in years so I'm not sure if it still holds up. It starts off pretty interesting, but you might get bored towards the end.. I don't know though. I'd say check it out! It's got action, a decent story, and a cool, post-apocalyptic aesthetic with the setting and designs for the characters/monsters. It's an important film for sure.

Ghibli movies are far better than Makoto Shinkai's movies.

It’s only worth it if you like the aesthetic.

Yes it's very good. Not the best Miyazaki movie, but worth watching for sure, it's a classic.

80s anime looking bad is easily one of the biggest misconceptions in this community, if you like DBZ you shouldn't have any problems with since it looks much better than it and imo it's easily one of Miyazaki's best.

It's one of the best anime movies ever made. Beautiful art shot on 35mm and presented in widescreen. Amazing animation quality that was groundbreaking for the time and still holds up today. In japanimation 1984 that level of fluidity had never been witnessed before. Be sure to grab a 1080p copy and stay away from dubs.

Yes, it is. It's my favourite Miyazaki's movie, a truly masterpiece.
If you're a fanboy, please don't waste my time.

Watch more movies, please.

Kafka, Fu Xuan, Jingliu, Topaz and Huohuo.

Absolutely.
Especially, if you liked the Princess Mononoke. It's very similar in its theme except the action takes place in a post-apocalyptic world.
Actually, I believe it's one of his best movies along with Mononoke and Spirited Away. The only reasons why it's underrated is because it's a beta-version on Mononoke and was somewhat overshadowed by the last one.
Also, maybe because it's not officially Ghibli.
