| Yeah. It caught me off-guard as well but it's most likely a funny reference to a different show that some anime do sometimes. It kinda makes sense since they're both in the isekai genre and they were also in the same show together (Isekai Quartet). |

| Not linked in any particular manner. The author's of Re:zero and Konosuba have been fast friends from school or something similar like that in real life. So this is just an easter egg by Tappei to credit his friend's work. Both of their works attempt to experiment with the 'isekai' concept (escaping to a parallel world), both have the same theme with the main character having poor character traits and being nothing like the Chosen One, but both the series try to carry out their attempt with radically different flavours (one is comical while the other is dark/violent). |
