I don't have a lot of music but my solution would be to buy a new hard drive.

I have a good chunk of music but I only bother with playlists I've made, which means a lot go ignored.

I listen to Spotify music every day and I download the songs with my premium account. Now I get the AudFree spotify music downloader to save the songs so I can upload them to other apps or players. Then the songs will not take up the data space on one app or players.

I have well over 3000 cd's, possibly close to 4000 (yes, I still buy cd's, ordered 7 today in fact). I have everything ripped onto my laptop and transfer mp3s to my phone which is how I listen to most of my music. I'm always alternating what's on my phone, so I have a pretty varied rotation.

I am using the Spotify free account, although I couldn't listen without internet but I found a method to listen music offline-using the Spotify Music Converter https://www.tunelf.com/spotify-music-converter.html which is a professional music downloader and converter for Spotify users which can download Spotify music to popular audio formats like MP3 and remove DRM protection from Spotify music.

I am listening to Spotify and Soundcloud more often. I felt it quite eclectic from mainstream to indie that I listen to.

I use Spotify to get my music. The only playlist I have is a yearly one for random songs I think are cool. Otherwise, I either listen to full albums or Discover Weekly so I can find new music.

Once I find a song I like I download it and save it on my phone.
I also add everything on a 4GB USB in case things gets messy.

I have around 350 songs in total.

I take turns to listen to different artists individually on Spotify. I like this methods because I don't miss out on singles and remixes.

Also, it is nice that some people here still listen to music in physical forms. I don't have anything to play physical media anymore.

I miss my old DVD/CD/VHS player that lasted from 2003 all the way to 2016.

I use spotify premium to stream large amounts of whatever music I randomly get interested in. I like using spotify because its easy to find suggestions from other people based on music you already like via the community generated playlists and similar artists feature. Being able to adjust what the next song will be without affecting the overall source via the queue feature is also very useful. When I hear a good song I throw it onto a big playlist for its associated genre. After I hear enough music from a given genre, and that playlist becomes too unwieldy, I create mood/theme playlists which are shorter and more focused. This allows me to have both a curated library and specialized pieces without concerning myself over storage management or device synchronization.

old music pirate here, downloading everything manually instead of using any kind of streaming services and stuff. Listen to a huge variety of stuff, do a lot of exploration and thus have a quite huge library - however maintaining it in proper condition with high overall quality is one of my hobbies basically. I constantly relisten to recently downloaded stuff in order to pick the best out of it and drop the rest. My playlists are normally genre-based or theme-based, have around 20 of them in total. My goal in all of this - to create a library with as many genres available as possible while still keeping it's quality high enough to not have a single "eh" song.

lol. My music collection is measured in terabytes. It's impossible to listen to all those thousands of albums on a frequent basis, so I just listen to whatever I'm in the mood for.

i usually explore random stuff on youtube, im a type of person that likes remixes of existing songs so it's the best place to look for those.

and i have a few playlists on spotify,
- a general huuge playlist of all the songs that i like regardless of genre.
- a collection of songs from my childhood
- current favorites

that's about it

I put all of the good songs in my Spotify playlist

And sometimes Spotify doesn't have that song I want, so I just go to Youtube and put them in the playlist

Also if I think a song is at least average but not memorable and I don't want to forget it, I write it down on a notebook.

I have all sorts of physical media (vinyl, cassettes, CDs, most of my physical collection is comprised of CDs). Lately I've been buying only digital albums off bandcamp, a lot of bands I like put their music there and I can thus support them. But most of my digital library consists of albums downloaded from the internet (sketchy forums, trackers etc). I keep them nicely ordered: music folder/first letter/artist folder/album folder.

When it comes to listening, I choose an album I'm in the mood for and just play it, nothing special. Maybe sometimes I choose to listen instead to some new releases to discover some new bands or see what bands I already like have put out. But I still have a big backlog of old things I want to listen to, in time I listen to them, there's no hurry.

I use Spotify and use my favorites section to save a single song from any band I like that I randomly come across, then whenever I want to listen to something I'll look through my list to see what band I'm in the mood for. I also have a saved playlist of anime ops if i ever want to listen to something like that.

The same way I always have, which is to either buy the albums physically where possible, and then transfer them to my computer (when gotten physically, otherwise I just download them) so I don't have to use the physical format at all times and can be kept safe for a while. I am extremely addicted to finding new music and sounds often, so I have a ton of music... Over 300 GBs of it.

When they are in my foobar, I sort them out by putting genre tags in the meta data of each file. So if I want to listen to a specific type of thing, I just ctrl + f and type it.

I have stopped trying to find new music every day. I mostly just let it happen, otherwise I would lose all my time just finding songs.

I put different genres of music on playlists. The playlists on the music app will keep selections more organized. Each have their own categories from R&B, Rock, and Hip Hop/Rap.

The easiest way to get burnt on music is to stress out over it (why I kinda hate last.fm.) I just listen to music only when I'm feeling it. I usually go through phases of listening to lots of new music, and phases of listening to older favorites I listen to more often. Some days I feel like listening to 15 albums, sometimes just playing a couple dozen songs.
