| I just finished this series, and what a refreshing read it was. I thought I'd list a few of the chapters I enjoyed most. Feel free to list yours. "Crimson Mountain" (V7 S61) - Alpha waits out a rainstorm. This chapter introduced me to the series, and it stands as my favorite manga chapter of all time. You don't need any knowledge of story or character background to appreciate this work of art. "Airplane" (V8 S61) - Flyby scene. I adore the visuals and excitement captured within the first four pages. "Indigo Eye" (V7 S59) - Alpha loses her camera. Humorous, tense, and adorable. "A Calm Evening's Communication" (V14 S139) - Another camera story. Pay especial attention to pages 75 & 77. "Fish" (V12 S113) - Wonderfully executed flashback. Excellent pacing of dialogue. Story #135 paces similarly. YKK's final chapter deserves a mention for its artwork, pacing, and conclusion. In terms of character development, I felt that the parting chapters between Alpha and Taki were well done. Otherwise, the first story of Volume 14 played out powerfully. |
