Would YOU like to see visual novels and light novels listed on MAL?
| I mean, in the world of otaku culture, visual novels and light novels are skyrocketing in popularity and have shown themselves to be as common a source for anime nowadays as manga have historically been. So wouldn't it make sense to also make room for them here on MAL? I mean, my lists for these things would be tiny as I don't read them very much at all, but I feel like the option would be beneficial. Discuss this matter, peons! |

| MAL lists anime, manga (and its Chinese and South Korean counterparts), and light novels. MAL doesn't list VNs because that would be difficult and there is already VNDB. There are submissions denied for being "regular novels" even when they are Japanese and have anime adaptions (eg. Hibike Euphonium is adapted from a novel). |

| I would personally like to see there be an option to keep track of visual novels here. There's always the VNDB but I like to keep things in one place if possible. It would be great but not too important. I really like the design of MAL which is why I prefer this site over other anime list sites. |
