My Kiznaiver review was deleted for some reason so I'll post it here if you still want to read it for whatever reason:
I really hate this show.
The story sucks. It's basically this idiotic bitch takes a bunch of random teenagers and turns them into "Kiznaivers" whic basically means that they all share each other's pain. This is supposedly supposed to "bring peace to the world" or some shit. This show operates under the misapprehension that if everyone understood each other's pain then there would be no conflict which is bullshit and the exact opposite of the truth. It's not that people "not understanding each other's pain" is what causes conflict it's that people are assholes and regardless of whether or not they could feel each other's pain that would make no fucking difference. People would still harm and kill each other in fact by making it that everyone shares each other's pain you just give people more of a reason to go on a fucking killing spree because if there are less people alive then it's less likely for you to get hurt. So they stick all these people into a facility to do tests on them which just forces bullshit made up conflicts where there shouldn't have been any by forcing them to do stupid shit. This is literally the most forced drama ever. None of these characters would be in this dramatic scenario if it weren't for the fact that they are literally forced to be.
The art style is good. So why did I give it such a low score? Because it's a blatant fucking rip off of Kill la kill's art style. Now I don't know if they got the same artist to work on both and honestly I don't really care, either way it's an issue because it makes it blatantly obvious to me that they're trying to trick Kill la kill fans into watching this show. People will say "hey this has a similar art style to Kill la kill it must be sort of like Kill la kill" and that's how they sucker another person into watching this fucking garbage show. Even the logo is almost exactly the same as Kill la kill's! I like Kill la kill and it's art style but it does not work with the tone that this show is going for and it honestly just comes off as a cheap cash grab. Not to mention the original character designs are all horrible looking as well.
The music in this show is fucking awful! I hate the opening, the ending, and the background music! It's all fucking terrible! It sounds like J-pop and not the good J-pop but the really shit terrible J-pop that somehow becomes a huge hit and gets played on the radio all the god damn time and you wonder why the fuck anyone listens to this garbage. I fucking hate it so much!
The characters are all one note and annoying as hell. There's the stupid emo boy, the quirky childish girl, the bookish girl, the bully with a hear of gold (which ps might I just say his character design is the worst in the entire show. Oh and not to mention I swear to god he's secretly gay for emo boy protagonist.). They are all captured by a psychotic bitch who the show tries to claim is a protagonist somehow. Ultimately these characters all so aggravating that I know if were in this situation I'd murder every single one of them because I don't want to be around these people for any longer then five fucking seconds.
Overall the main reason I decided to write this review is it seems that everyone keeps giving this thing a good review and I just don't get it. I don't understand why anyone keeps watching this show it's so fucking grating. Maybe it gets better later on and maybe I'm wrong about this but these are just my first impressions watching this show and I know I sure as hell don't want to keep watching this.
