This evening i was supposed to go out with a very good friend of mine who's always late. So, we were planning this nigth out to drink from a long time but he's got a girlfriend and i was always with my friends so we never had the chance. Today he asks me when e where we were supposed to meet, but considering he thougth that there were others with us i told him that we were alone and that i didn't know if my female friend was with us (my friend told me that his girlfriend would've come if my female friend stayed with us). He texts me back telling me to give him a time for out meeting so i told him around 9 (and at that moment it was five past eigth). He didn't text me back and he didn't say anything, so i waited like 30 minutes and after that i told him that i wouldn't get out this evening because i had to wait once again for a shitload of time. I think he's angry at me now but i don't think i'm in wrong considering he's always late when we hang out and i can't wait for him forever. Am i in wrong?

Please forgive my grammar mistakes but i don't want to think about it too much

He didn't even give a reply. No point in waiting.

No it's his fault for not replying back to you. Don't waste your time waiting for him.

I don't have respect for people who show up way too late, and even worse if they can't even be bothered to let those waiting know about it.

It's not your fault, I mean heck... at least you bothered waiting for him. There's no point in wasting your own time if he refuses to let you know of his whereabouts. If he's angry, he should remain angry for being inconsiderate.

Screw everyone who doesn't reply when you need a reply.

I wouldn't worry about it. Being late is one thing as long as there's a reasonable excuse but repetitive tardiness and lame ass excuses are another thing.

However on the flip side I realize he knew you two were planning to get together but if the time was last minute decided and not an hour in advance would he have had time to meet at the designated spot? Personally if you invite me last minute and give me an hour's (or less) notice expect me to be late because more than likely I can't get ready and drive there safely in time.

No, you aren't wrong. You invited him along and had the courtesy to wait for him, only for him to not even have the decency to reply to you. He just kept you sitting around for nothing and wasted your time. You have the right to be annoyed at him.
