| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- The mangaka should really do better research. The Pilgrim Experiment wasn't about seeing whether or not people would do bad things if they won't be held accountable for their actions, it was on obedience to authority figures. Also, no one was told that the shocks would reach lethal levels. The experiment wasn't simply shocking. One person (an actor) was where the person who did the shocks could not see them. The subject would ask the actor (they thought they were other subjects) a question, and every time they got an answer wrong they would be shocked. Each time they got an answer wrong, the voltage would be increased. However, everyone was assured that none of the shocks would cause any permanent damage. The actors would scream, and eventually beg for it to end, and eventually they would stop talking all together. It was to make the subject think the pain was THAT excruciating. However, it was okay, because the authority figure told them to do it, and the authority figure clearly knew best. So, yeah. Psychology 101 for you right there, lol. Basically, do your research, mangaka. Not much else to say about the chapter. |
