I feel the same way, usually if I find an anime bad it's because I don't like any of the characters. If I like one enough to keep watching then the anime is doing something right.

Maybe not great but him and the vampire conspiracy are so far the best reasons for me to watch the show right now with the main becoming a bigger threat to himself

Good Choice! Misogi is best character.

SAO to be honest. I kinda liked Asuna, but the story is just way too bland. Its equivalent to playing a boring AF RPG

Keith from Tera E (Interesting character, only reasonable character besides Soldier Blue)
Kurumi Tokisaki from Date a Live (she has broken powers)
Matsutani from Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku (He is comedic for his extreme conservative beliefs)
Lisa from Zankyou no Terror ( She is useless and creates comedy, it makes the show so bad its good)
