Has there ever been an anime that altered or impacted your personality deeply?

If yes, what character and why?

For me:
Is this where you live?

Emiya Kiritsugu - Helped me get over my cognitive dissonance.
Gintoki - JUST DO IT!
Gillen Rudy - made me more 'professional'.
Katsura Kotarou - He affected me in all the wrong ways possible.

By the way, your sig says I'm near Faisalabad. No I'm not NEAR Faisalabad. I'm IN the Faisalabad.

Joseph from Jojo series. I enjoy expecting others' next line. Your next line is "Doing it in real life will be quite creepy."!

I wouldn't say impacted but i share somewhat of an understanding i guess of:

Grell Sutcliff
Tatsukichi Hayama
Seishin Muroi
Sunako Kirishiki

For deeply personal and hurtful reasons.

I wouldn't say there's been any anime or characters that have impacted my personality. There have been some that have given me new perspectives or opinions though:

Space Brothers (and Mutta Nanba)
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Mushishi
Psycho-Pass
Zankyou no Terror
Parasyte
Ghost in the Shell
Mawaru Penguindrum
Welcome to the NHK
Honey and Clover

Probably a few others.

I'm too lazy to give reasons to all the new enlightenment these shows gave me, but I feel like they made me more "mature", so to speak. I also generally learnt some more objective things that I didn't know about before, particularly in Space Brothers and Psycho-Pass (about astronauts/space training & psychology in Space Brothers, and philosophises & sociology in Psycho-Pass).

P.S. I love your signature OP.

Some of them kinda impacted my personnality...

For example, Gintoki. Kinda like people above, i watched him enough to be influenced by his personnality : I'm a little less caring about what people think about me (which is, for me, a good thing :p)

Also, Yukiteru and all these crybabies characters. I dunno if it's related to the cringe i've felt as i was watching them but I've never heard myself bitching about my problems since a really long time ~~

Bakuman and Sakurasou. Have no expectations for good outcomes or from people, but still continue to value hard work regardless of the outcome.

Hachiman Hikigaya and Nico Yazawa. There are others but I can't think off the top of my head regarding characters.

Anime would be Saki, Aikatsu, Pretty Rhythm, and Major

Kaoru from Kids on the Slope. Just embracing the others around you instead of trying to escape it all is sometimes a lot less effort, and a lot better for the quality of your life.

Chiaki from Nodame Cantabile was quite interesting to watch as he is very demanding on others and you can see how awful it makes people feel. I am quite intense at times and especially demanding on other people to match me in conversation, in sports, games, anything really. Just seeing that kinda made me figure I need to chill more and just switch gears depending on who I'm hanging out with/realise some things ain't worth getting stressed over. it's a nice feeling.

There are characters I can strongly sympathize with and felt a connection to. But they haven't really affected me. There are anime series as a whole which have though.

Neon Genesis Evangelion
Ef: a tale of memories/melodies
Shinsekai yori
Probably some other anime I can't think of for the moment.

As a kid, Digimon had a great influence on me as a person. Even though I wouldn't have said it back then.

Plus you'd be a dumbass to make projections like these and expect people to take you and your ilks seriously.

If a character has admirable qualities, why shouldn't someone be allowed to be inspired by those qualities? Just because they came from a 2D character? If so, that's a pretty baseless reason.
