Favaro Leone cosplay suggestions

Alright, I am attempting to cosplay as Favaro from Shingeki no Bahamut and I am not really the creative type when it comes to design or clothing, etc. I don't want to outsource it, I want to do it myself maybe with help of friends. I really need suggestions for gathering the right materials to make his cosplay fairly accurate (and look good) and hopefully comfortable.

I think I will have the hardest time with his boots, the metal shoulder and knee pads, the (leather?) dark greyish thing on his pants and that (leather?) thing on his left side of his chest that kind of reaches around symmetrically to his back side.

Also I have no idea where I'd be able to find an orange shirt like the one he wears
