Section 2: Game Overview
The game requires nine players to start, and the objective of all the players is to solve all the riddles and get to the last door
One of the players is Zero, an assassin who has the objective of killing all the players. Each player will have a bracelet with a number.
If the players reach the last door and Zero is still alive, Zero will win the game and all the other players will lose
Players will have to divide themselves in groups in order to enter the different doors and acquire the items needed to move to the next room
In order to enter a door, the group of players intending to enter a door must have a digital root of their bracelets that equals to the number on the door. In order to take a digital root, you must sum all the numbers of the bracelets of the players intending to enter the door, and then sum the remaining digits until there is only one digit left. For example, the digital root of 3, 5 and 9 is 3 + 5 + 9 = 17, and 1 + 7 = 8
Zero's bracelet number can freely switch from 0 to his specified number
Section 3: Items and rooms
The mechanics for doors and items are extremely simple. The players will, at the beginning of the game, be able to choose from a number of rooms to enter, and they will be free to create groups to decide who is going to enter each door. After the riddles and puzzles inside that room are solved and the items were gathered, the players will receive new choices of rooms to choose from. The options will never be overwhelmingly and will usually be composed of two or three rooms.
Players can be left behind if they don't fit in any group to enter a numbered door. After the numbered door puzzle is solved, the players left behind will be able to join the players again.
The items are rewarded for solving riddles or can be simply randomly gathered to specific players. The items can have many utilities. Weapons can kill or hurt players, keys can open doors, medical items can heal a wounded player, some items can be used to skip a puzzle or make it easier. The list goes on.
Zero and some players will dispose of many weapons to choose from. Some of those weapons, such as a knife, can kill a player instantly, while other items can kill the player over time (like poison), thus allowing the killer to move away from the victim. Killing players can be done at any time, the only condition is that you must be at the same room as that player (or able to move to that room and quickly go back to yours). If that condition is satisfied, the killer will be able to choose his method to kill the victim.
Items can obviously only be carried by one player. If a group of players finds an item, they can design a specific player to pick it up. Zero has the ability of stealing some items, and the players will only notice if one of their items got stolen if they ask the game master to list the items they are currently carrying. Players are also free to give items to each other.
Most players will already start the game with some items. That depends on their role/profession. However, roles also bring drawbacks to the players.
Section 4: Taking action
As a general rule, most actions must be performed on the main thread. If you want to pickup an item, you must say that with a bold statement in the main thread. If you want to move to a specific room or use an item, say that with a bold statement in the main thread.
Some actions can be done secretly via PM, such as killing and stealing. Zero is free to send any actions he wants (including picking up items and moving through rooms) via PM, but he can also use the main thread if he so wishes.
Role skills, such as the doctor's healing and others, must also be done through PM
Roles and skills
Zero
The mastermind behind the nonary game. Zero will always dispose of many ways to kill the other players, and he is also able to steal items. If Zero is among the players that got through door 9 in the end of the game, he wins the game. Zero also has hidden abilities that are not known by anyone, and he is known for being a great mimic, able to fake abilities and roles.
Detective
This player is the biggest enemy of Zero. He starts the game with a revolver that has one bullet, and is also able to, only once per game, investigate one player and determine if he is Zero or not.
Doctor
This player starts with medical items that can be used to heal players that are wounded or dying over time.
Player
The remaining players will also have abilities that no one knows about. Most of those abilities can help with puzzles or with different things, such as finding shortcuts and secret passageways. Those abilities change every single nonary game and hardly repeat themselves.

There won't be any "time limit", hours will pass depending on the player's actions and choices. It is possible to run out of time if the choices are bad.

Since I got killed in the other nonary game early on (for no reason XD), sure I'll join this one.

Ah, I see. Puts a damper on things does it not. I only say that because it has an ally/betray system but it relies heavily on plot twists so it is hard to say whether it would actually work out.

I think that Zymf's version looks more interesting seeing as there are no special roles, Everyone is on an even ground and can choose to either help or hinder the other players using wit and deception
You wake up and find yourself inside a room. You don't remember anything that happened on the previous day, but you look to your pulse and you find a bracelet with a number written on it.
What is the purpose of that bracelet? Who knows. You also find a sheet of paper. It is written there: "Numbered doors and how to enter them"
Numbered doors and how to enter them
Some doors that you find will need to be unlocked in order to get through. Others will have numbers. In order to enter a numbered door, you must scan an amount of bracelets in such a way that the digital root of the numbers in the bracelets that were scanned results in the number of the door. There is also a minimum requirement of three players, and a maximum amount of five.
For example, if you want to get inside door 7. The most basic combination is 1 + 2 + 4 which equals to 7. But there are many other possibilities, such as:
You also find a note. It reads: "MORPHOGENETIC RESEARCH. What does that mean?
There is a door in front of you. As you enter it and go through the corridor that is in front of you, you eventually end up finding a room full of people.
There were nine in total. They were intensely discussing what was going on, but apparently, no one knew anything about where they were or what made they get there. Discussing was useless, it was a race against the clock. There were three doors in front of them.
The first door had a 5 written on it. The second door, which was in the center of the room, had no numbers written on it, however, it was locked, and required a key. The second door had a 4 written on it.
Doors that can be entered
Numbered door 5
Numbered door 4
It was now time to create groups and decide who is going to enter which door. Just create a list with the name of the players that are going through a door, and if everyone agrees with it, confirm it.
By the way, many questions will arise, I know, I feel like I forgot to mention some rules. This game is a game that gives a lot of freedom to the players, it is like a table RPG, they can do as they please. So, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them by PM

Yes, a door can only be entered by one group, and each group must have between 3 to 5 players. That only applies to numbered doors though. The door in the center (the door that must be opened with a key) can be entered by anyone at any time
Bragy said: Even if it wasn't me who is the number 9, why would you form a group of three people if that meant leaving someone behind?
As you didn't play the 999 DS game I think that sounds bad to you, but if that helps: The players will be able to unlock the locked door in the center of the room if they manage to solve their puzzles correctly. Once they do that, you will be able to catch up with the group again.
Please confirm. If more than 50% of the players have confirmed, the plan mentioned above will be executed.

BY THE WAY, I need everyone to PM me with your role. Just copy and paste your role exactly the way I sent you by PM. I need to do that because I think I forgot to write down a few important details.
