| I think Leo would be a good main character as well. He's abilities are pretty cool and can be further developed. Also he usually has a nice easy going personality but also has his own internal struggles which can allow him to grow as a character. |

| title would need to be changed if Jumonji or Masaki becomes the lead MC,from poor performing student to top performing student at magic highschool :) Jumoonji is OP as f@ck,Maya is currently the only one that can penetrate Phalanx with normal magics and Tatsuya's new magic that he tested in vol 14 failed (from spoilers I read),it blew off his arm (or hand). |

| I wouldn't mind a side story written from the Crimson Prince's perspective, so long as it focused mostly on what he is up to in his own right and not simply re-treading his encounters with the First High cast. |
| Honestly speaking, Tatsuya was the most interesting of his group. Masaki could have been interesting, but he is kind of gay (Suzaku alert). However, from the few scenes that he was on, Toshikazu "Kazu" Chiba was a bit interesting. I wouldn't mind a spin off of him, and if he is pair up with Kyouko Fujibayash, even better. |

| Onii-sama is Onii-sama, so nobody can ever replace him. Seeing more of Juumonji would be nice, he was one of the few characters of the series I found somewhat interesting. |

| Probably Masaki- he's definitely an interesting guy who I felt didn't get as much time to shine as he should've in the anime (like most of the side characters) given the sheer godliness of Onii-sama whose powers know no bounds. He sorta fit into that princely archetype from what I remember, although in actuality he's far from perfect...his awkwardness around Miyuki was adorkable & there are elements of his personality I could get behind, unlike Tatsuya, who I couldn't connect with at all because he was a perfect, blank slate character. Masaki's charisma is actually illustrated instead of just shoved down our throats by other characters as it is with Tatsuya. He's strong, charming, analytical and collected but not to the point where each time there's a fight I'm thinking "oh, this again. Rinse and repeat. I wonder who's going to win this time." -_- There's also an element of risk there for Masaki as well, since he's strong but not completely OP & probably still has quite a lot to learn. I couldn't help but route for him during his fight with Tatsuya and that is an excellent quality to have- of course that's all personal preference though, some people probably hated him too. For me, I've always found that the stoic, more emotionless types rarely work well as protagonists with the exception of Hei from DTB and are much better in the sidekick or major supporting character role (like Josuke from JJBA), as do the pretty awkward, introverted & less overpowering characters such as Mikihito. For me, it's the characters who have a little sprinkle of everything- looks, charisma, a little pride & selfishness, a snarky streak, a few secret quirks or flaws & are powerful but have room for improvement- that work best, although I expect that reaching a happy medium between all those things is difficult to write well. Well that's my two cents anyway. |
